I would say the noise cancelling is ok. Nothing special. I only use them in my house though so I don't have any experience using them in loud environments. They do go completely over my ears.

Thank you! So I just did a quick test to see how the sound leakage was. At 25% volume I couldn't hear them in a quiet room from about 5 feet away, at 50% volume I could hear them from 5 feet away but it wasn't too noticeable, at 100% it's pretty loud from 5 feet away (listening to "Sunshine of Your Love" for the test.) As far as blocking external noises, I would say they are ok. They aren't specifically noise cancelling headphones, but because they cover the entire ear I often have to pause what I'm playing and take of the headphones to hear when someone is talking to me from a few feet away.
Nice review. I wear hearing aids and would like to purchase a set of headphones that are closed to block out ambient noise. These do fit the bill. What I can't find is any info on how efficient they are. I'm hoping to find something that works a little better than your run of the mill headphones on an airplane. What are your thoughts?
Does the device(s) you paired them with support aptX-LL? Both the headphones and transmitting device need to support not just aptX but aptX-LL to benefit from low-latency transmission. Maybe this explains why you were experiencing latency in the beginning?

I had something similar happen with a jbl go wireless speaker (afaik not aptx just standard BT4.0) but after several uses the latency issue disappeared. Unsure why.
I found the sound quality better on the 3.5 then wireless. Not a huge difference but enough for me to stick to the cord when possible. I also feel the fit is bit loose over my head. I would have liked it tighter over the ears. Other than that I love them. They are definitely the most comfortable ones I have ever had. I have had more expensive gaming headphones with better sound but they where heavy and less comfortable then these.
Jo Potgieter .....I ordered the audition , not pro , but returned as only audible in one ear. I did notice when I tried them , my wall clock ticking and very amplified it sounded 😱 When working properly what is the pro like for keeping out noise?
can u plz tell me how's the bass of it compared to the SONY MDR XB650 BT.......n which one should i buy..the sony XB650 BT or the Avantree Audition pro....for general purpose usage like listening songs,watching movies....

I haven't tested the standard Avantree Auditions or the Brainwavz HM2. So I can't really help you out there unfortunately. I've heard good things about Brainwavz in general though. And that pair has great reviews on Amazon. Thanks for subbing!

My order arrives with deep hissing noise and some random distortions at left side. Box seal was opened also, probably they sent me a refused product by previous customer. After several attempts to fix and factory reset according instructions in manual book, opened a trouble ticket on official avantree web site. They ridiculously responded with automated messages just like copy-paste from user's manual. Started dispute for refund on Aliexpress and it is under process. Because of noise problems impossible to prove, I have to pay for shipping cost for refund and tax payment at custom has already burned. I don't know what Aliexpress will decide when it may be possible excalation. I observed other purchases on comment section on Aliexpress, I guess I am unlucky but becareful about Avantree products anyway...
i hate these so much, they won't adjust so that they cover my ears, the quality to me, coming from a Bose user is mediocre. The bass is boosted sure, but with a lack of proper fit it sounds terrible. They were written off to me as noise cancelling but not only can I still hear outside noises, the louder I go the more everyone else can hear. Not ideal. Never buying from them again.
In the outdoor shots I accidentally set the wrong white balance. Tried my best to fix it in post. However in the indoor shots you can obviously tell that they are in fact matte black. I don't understand why you had to leave a dick comment. Sad really.

Thanks you. Yep! If you hold the volume up or down for slightly longer than normal it will skip back or forward to the next song.

did you try it with the Avantree transmitter or just some other stock transmitter?

I haven't used the Sony's, but if I had to guess I would go with the Sonys.
