I’m learning Korean so I can: -watch K-drama’s without subtitles. -sing along with Kpop songs or else I’ll summon a demon. -watch a VLive when an idol is going live and there are no subtitles yet. -go to Korea and understand what they are saying. I can read Korean but I have to focus on learning French and German because of school ._.

You can read korean if you learn all the alphabets and if you learn about consonants and vowels between the Korean alphabets because many korean alphabets are the same but different in positions.

If so I might be able to help UwU (Mainly because it was the opposite for me, I could remember the words themselves and how to say them but I could never remember those double letters ex; “의” 혹은 “워” and I kept forgetting/switching up “ㅗ” 구리고 “ㅜ” But once I went back to the basics and memorized each letters sound I could write/speak even better since I understood why each word sounds the way it does so, I want to help you do the same if I can! :)
Depressed Tea Really? What was your strategy of learning Korean? Its super hard for me to memorize the words and despite my best efforts, I tend to forget words a week after learning them. I decided to listen to some Korean Talkshows to help me learn context but nope. Its okay; its probably just my problem. Im a very forgetful person. I barely remember English words myself.

that's where most people get stuck...its easy to learn hangul...once u can read korean but don't know what is the meaning?... it means you need to increase your vocabulary... and start learning how to make sentences with basic grammar... then it would start making sense :)

Its actually easy! It depends on syllables Gamsahamnida Or 감사합니다. (Thank you) The 감 Is Gam When you say Gam, it’s a syllable because your mouth moves open. I recommend learning the korean alphabet first and its sayings, learning how to say, read, and write Korean, then work more on translations. You use the korean alphabet, to form a syllable. And every syllable must of consonant and Vowel.

Most of the time I write "ㅇ" as "ng" like in "방" I would write it as "bang". for those who are still confused about the "ㅇ" character it makes no noise as the firdt character. For example in "유" you would only say the "ㅠ" part because "ㅇ" is silent. generally "ㅇ" is only heard if it is the third charecter like I'm "방" (ㅂ ㅏ ㅇ). I hope this helps those who are still confused about "ㅇ" because that is normally the most confusing thing about Hangeul.
Mandy Pandy I've used that app before but it didn't help me that much. I learn better reading hangul rather than romanization. Thank You for the suggestion though~
Swegosaur i guess ..also the "ㄹ" which is "L" it was also read sometimes as "R" And the Sounds of "ㅌ" which is "T" cause the sound of this letter is almost the same sound with "ch", "d", and "s" it can read as one.. For ex: Dat ..u will write it in hangeul as "닽" But you can also write this as "Das" or "Dach" ...but has the same pronounciation and meaning.. this will write then as .." 덫" "닷" .. So i think these are the most confusing about learning koreans..also about the consonant cluster..

i learned how to read korean in about an hour from a website. it was super easy. i only studied it once and i still remember it even though it was years ago. only problem now is understanding what i read ^_^

I thought Korean was so much harder than Japanese but no, now that you explained it I realized how much easier it is. Like in Korea you only have one alphabet vs japan where you have to learn hiragana, katakana, and kanji. I'm trying to learn Japanese right now but I might take a break and learn Korean. :)

I recommend you learn Hangul first. That helped me a lot. I fell in love with Kpop, BlackPink is my favorite group. So i started buying subscriptions of Korean lessons. I wrote my Hangul over and over again. It made it easier for me to pronounce and write out the hangul easy peezy. Though now I can write and read Korean, just don't know what the words mean just yet.

Most of the time I write "ㅇ" as "ng" like in "방" I would write it as "bang". for those who are still confused about the "ㅇ" character it makes no noise as the firdt character. For example in "유" you would only say the "ㅠ" part because "ㅇ" is silent. generally "ㅇ" is only heard if it is the third charecter like I'm "방" (ㅂ ㅏ ㅇ). I hope this helps those who are still confused about "ㅇ" because that is normally the most confusing thing about Hangeul.

And the Sounds of "ㅌ" which is "T" cause the sound of this letter is almost the same sound with "ch", "d", and "s"
it can read as one..
For ex: Dat ..u will write it in hangeul as "닽"
But you can also write this as "Das" or "Dach" ...but has the same pronounciation and meaning.. this will write then as .." 덫" "닷" ..
So i think these are the most confusing about learning koreans..also about the consonant cluster..
ㅂ can be M too.. that's why the "합" in 감사합니다 becomes Kam sa HAM nida.. instead of KamsahaBnida..
also "ㅆ/ㅅ" can be T too

I thought Korean was so much harder than Japanese but no, now that you explained it I realized how much easier it is. Like in Korea you only have one alphabet vs japan where you have to learn hiragana, katakana, and kanji. I'm trying to learn Japanese right now but I might take a break and learn Korean. :)

I recommend you learn Hangul first. That helped me a lot. I fell in love with Kpop, BlackPink is my favorite group. So i started buying subscriptions of Korean lessons. I wrote my Hangul over and over again. It made it easier for me to pronounce and write out the hangul easy peezy. Though now I can write and read Korean, just don't know what the words mean just yet.
