@@rjflowersamericanatti2udes770 we use a 430g spring and jig for our tuning that’s been around since the 70s passed down from my uncle and it works fine , it’s fully extended at 430g so when the spring can’t extend anymore without forcing it Your Within range . Also for shaders and color packers we have an option for 4 other springs to use depending on use and we’ve always made perfect machines . . . The double throw is bad but I have a speed liner that is absolutely bliss I’ve been trying to replicate, it don’t do a double throw but it’s more like a throw and a half and it just zips the lines out Problem is ..... I haven’t been able to replicate it on any other frames so I may have to bend my own frame again to do it because it’s a phenomenal machine 🤦🏼♂️ And I clicked and watched cause I see you use a lot of brass hardware and copper contact screws and I can’t stand ugly hardware
This video is super old but the fact this dude doesnt understand proper framing during the critical information shots means hes an old head and we all have a bunch to learn from him😅😅 i tried to just start with rotarys for the convenience sake but i realized im skipping steps and fundamentals that's every artist should appreciate#loyal.to.da.coil
Hi rob, how do you know the starting voltage before tuning??? I am trying to learn how to tune a machine and played with the contact screw to try to find the right setting and sound but I am not really sure .. Thanks
The old dime setting on the front contact space(make sure the rear spring tension is set) then start at at 0 volt stepping on the foot pedal and turn it up till it runs at a nice speed then make your final setting of the front contact screw, the figure 8 and ghosting , this should give a proper speed of the machine..
If you can please make another like this. Angle is great but your presentation is out of screen an possibly while pointing too your adjustments you can angle it closer to the camera . oh and for fresh soot sitters like myself I like too know every back ground of every piece if your willing to explain it. Thanks brother😅
Good question!! Iv never seen that either lol. Seems like a real Appalachian way to dead set your c-post continuity vs applying a questionable degree bend or eyeballed roll to the spring itself and eliminate the variable with just a confirmed amount of shim lol.
Use a little nylon ball between your contact and brass/copper screw and you wont need a nylon screw and you can keep the looks and not f up the threads
I got a lot of info from your videos thanks I hope you keep theme coming
thanks man means alot
thank you bro! dont worry about the negativity, everything helps.
thanks

Did you make that bar to test the spring tension with the digital scales?
why is the front spring on top of washers .?never really seen that good video
