Psalm 66:18-20 explains the fate of Judas and Schmeel., " If I regard sin/wickedness in my heart, surely God will not hear me". A true disciple of the Lord surrenders ALL attitudes and agendas which are not pleasing to God. That is why the Bible says that the traditions of man make to no effect the Spirit of the Lord. Sorry, but 90% of religion is NOT pleasing to God! Theme for a bumper sticker, "drop your religion now...avoid the rush later"
imo (and this is just a different perspective) i think that season 4 is majorly in preparation for season 5. at times it did feel like filler to me as well, but each episode held biblical truths. the escalation in tension among the Jewish Leaders and Jesus is carried well. so season 5 will be a blow.
It’s the transfiguration that’s missing. It’s critical and they decided not have it in the chosen. They weren’t sure how to do it so they intentionally left it out. I find that disappointing.

Season 4 wasn't as good as the other three seasons

It felt that way to me, too, but I can’t say why.
My best episode was the bleeding woman (Veronica) when Jesus healed her, the change in her appearance and the great joy she showed, moved me deeply ❤️

They could of left out the Ramah and Thomas part to soap opera like but just my opinion
