As a Brit born in 1964 and I spent 11 years in the States from 1968-79. I can remember so many of these muscle cars that Shawn shows on here. I'd love to see a Gran Torino because my Dad's girlfriend had one in the early 70s and I liked her as well. 😀

Putting 71 cuda parts on a 70 cuda is exactly what I want to do, as the actual 71 models are unaffordable collectors items now (unless its a barn find). Beautiful build, the chrome and matte parts are perfectly balanced
@AutotopiaLA - this is one of the best cars you've shared with us. I think the '71 grill with the quad headlights is the best one of that generation. I love the 'billboard stripe' - just like the originals! I like the juxtaposition of the black paint with the chrome highlights that the builder kept!
That Cuda is awesome! There is something odd about that rear wing. It could be an optical illusion, but it looks like it is angled to reduce down force instead of increase down force.
I agree with you. I am not a vinyl top guy either. Need to see the metal with matching paint color with the rest of the body. I consider vinyl tops as cheap imitation versions of convertibles.

I absolutely love everything about this car but the scoop & steering wheel & maybe the chrome trim. Still I don’t hate those either, it’s just a design choice I’d probably have not made, but I love the interior (I too would’ve loved the pistol grip shifter). It’s just a bad ass car, I’m being super picky, because I would kill to,own that car as is. So cool!
@Steve Miller I think I would’ve gone with a black chrome instead of the straight chrome. Make it a black beast. Then you’ve got the best of both worlds.

Good looking build clean tight love the gauges would love to have seen a 5speed manual transmission and a different steering wheel , the sound of the blower whine is insane your brother’s car definitely sounded more violent.... but I would love to own it! I miss my 70 big block!
Awesome work on the car..looks great...HOWEVER....ditch the rear louvers and put the 8 speed Tremec in it...and a little more rear tire. Gorgeous all around
