croco-codes ☠☠ Theres a book on the rise and (almost) fall of j.crew and they go into how lacoste was adopted by the preppy kids along with brooks brothers far before it was actually known as prep. I recommend it if you want to read how Lacoste became fashionable for young people specifically (though it is very brief)
