I love your persistence and positive attitude in the face of the assembly hiccups. Maybe there was some serious swearing off-camera, tools thrown, and dogs kicked. But you found solutions and continued on. I'm looking forward to seeing your adventures on the trail!
Thank you!!! We had to stay positive. We had a planned trip we didn’t want to miss. No dogs were injured during this tent install project. 😊
Man what a pain to get that on. Glad you were able to figure a way to make the rails work. Can’t wait for the next video.
Thank you!!!!
Looking forward to seeing the setup in day light!!! Love the family time!!! Glad everyone is doing good!! See yall next Friday!!!
Thank you!!!
Can’t wait to see the new look in the daylight. Glad you guys are making videos again. Definitely looking forward to next Friday’s overlanding video.
Thank you!!! We are glad to be back putting out content.
Nice. I love the ramp and family effort to get the tent up on the roof.
That’s how we have done every rtt we have had. We haven’t dropped one yet. 😁
Sweet, you guys are heading out to use your new ikamper. Can’t wait to see you back on the trails.
Yes, we are really glad to have the new tent. Thank you.
2x4? You gotta do what you gotta do. Nice garden. See you next Friday.
Yep. We had to get a little creative.
I appreciate the honest evaluation the of rack. I had narrowed my rack selection to Gobi and Frontrunner. I went Frontrunner. A couple years later and I look back and am pleased with that decision.
I like how easy it mounts to the H3. You are right on with your slam on Wrangler. Drilling through the top was sketchy. Also, i had to trim the Frontrunner bushings to get things aligned. In the end, it works, but there was some nervous times. For the Wrangler it does have some advantages like the 6 points of contact vs 4 for Gobi. The front mounting point on the Wrangler are not real strong. Mounting to the rollbar to me seemed better that rubber bumpers to the body of the vehicle for that side stability.
A downside I found with Frontrunner is the tons of screws. I would tighten the bolts every couple trips. The lock nuts alone were not adequate to prevent loosening. I reinstalled all rack bolts with Loctite blue (medium) and that worked.
Our Gobi has more mounting locations. But I will say the front two are not nearly as strong as the rest. The front ones are a single bolt and not in the rail track. We looked at Frontrunner years ago. There are some advantages. They are aluminum vs Gobi steel. But for the h3 Gobi is the only full roof rack that we could find. And storage space is important. I have friends with the Frontrunner rack on their h3 and it looks and works great. Just depends on the need.
Man I’m jealous of the Ikamper. Looking good. Oh and I’ve had some 2x4 pieces on my rack for years😂. No shame😂
Sweet, we are in good company then!!! 😂😂😂
Nice! Looking forward to more videos!
Thank you!!!!
Great video! That's a pretty clever way how to get that roof rack up there without having to try and lift it up over your head. I have installed 3 Gobi stealth racks before and thankfully I was just able to use a forklift to lift them onto the truck. Glad to see you posting videos on a regular basis again!
Thank you!!! Yes, we are trying to post each week again. Years ago Bayly was too young to help with the RTT so Natalie and I had to get creative. Our tents got taken off and on pretty regularly to fit in the garage.
@@TsarTrail For sure! Keep up the good work! Its really nice that you can still fit your H3 in your garage. My H3 sadly won't fit in my garage anymore so I always gotta keep it parked outside 🥲.
@@4lowmode I hear you. We are thinking about raising our garage so we can fit it in without having to take off the tent. Or maybe just sell the house and hit the road for a few years. 😁
Greetings from the Netherlands 👍❤️🇳🇱🇺🇸
Hi, hope all is well with you.
@@TsarTrail everything is OK here in The Netherlands, because of the war In Oekraïne the gas prices are sky high here! Good luck and fun with the Skycamper, a super product in my opinion.
@@guidok3762 glad all is good. Any progress on your overlanding build?
👍 nice . Still have the trailer?
Yes we still have the TB trailer. 😊
Nice……back to regular videos every Friday?
We are trying. That is at least our goal.
