How ironic! I was out this morning with my savage 22-250. I had the same results. Mine didn't like the longer ones either. I just got done loading up some shorter ones for tomorrow. Having fun chasing the " one hole"
Very interesting video, notice the first shot is always wide, the next to very good. shooting a .22-250 in a Bergara with 24" heavy barrel, Hornady Superformace Varmit V-Max 50gr ammo, right out of the box , can't check the lands as don't have the gun, it's partners, and he's hunting Chucks, but will soon. It runs the Avg. FPS is 3970 , and shot under .250 group , at 300 , and trying to find what power they are using in the rounds. Think they are around 50 off the lands, they shoot amazing . I could post a photo if the results. Like to always hear others info, and yours was very interesting. 👍👍👍👍
I've used a front sand bag several times, but I get my best groups by using a solid standard bi-pod (the type WITHOUT the swivel, side to side ability) and a sand bag under the stock butt. It really seems solid, just a suggestion.
I have rimfires that have thousands of rounds thru them, if they get cleaned periodically accuracy does not change.......Maybe velocity is a bigger factor and powder charge???
Well CD ..quit while you are ahead and go back to the depth you shot the good 10 shot group with. If it ain,t broken ,don,,t fix it . Cheers from Australia
I've had rifles that liked a .100" jump & I have rifle/loads that like the bullet to engage the rifling. The Preacher should be your rifle, not a snake oil salesmen.
Nice work CD thanks for sharing

Loading up some 65gr. Berger for the 243 vls see how she likes them.
What would magazine lenght be, relative to where you are? Maybe a mag friendly loading length?
Nice vid. Wondering if you neck turn the brass.

What does a "factory" round measure, have you checked that scenario? It would seem that gun would prefer it. Dunno, just sayin'.
I find mine goes in and out of tune inside 0.003” seating depth changes…..
Try a Lee Factory Crimp die. Works for me over 90% of the time. Can't imagine why it wouldn't work for you.
How do I get to your store so I can purchase a couple of items?

Hey CD!
I wish I had your email address I would like to ask you some 22-250 questions.
Ask right here, help educate the masses. Me included.
That barrel looks like it's a mile long
Gun doesn’t like those loads!!
50m 100m 200m?
White boys can't jump .. and neither can those BULLits! Keep after it, CD ... love your stuff.
You're seating test results are the opposite of what the preachers of the religion of accuracy says they should be..
