We are SO excited to share with y’all the news that Josh got promoted!!! Nothing is ever permanent in this lifestyle. It’s a rollercoaster for sure as you can tell from the video. We are so excited to be moved up a level and so happy to be able to share it with yall. I know the professional baseball life can be super confusing to understand, so we tried to explain the whole process as best as we could. Drops questions in the comments if you’re still confused!

How many levels are there to be promoted until the majors? Would you mind explaining the process please for those that don’t know anything haha!

So there are a lot of levels but simplified. Low A then High A. Then your have AA, AAA, then the majors

Also, it is important to understand that the level a player is playing at does not necessarily indicate their skill level. It is a combination of that and roster depth. For instance, you could be the second best player in the world at your position; but if you are stuck in an organization that has the best player in the world you will be stuck in the minors much longer than you should. Incidentally, that is part of the reason that the Yankees actually traded him. His path was pretty well blocked in the Yankees organization and he had value for the Rangers.
