@FrostConner so I clicked the wrong guide and followed these instructions...and I accidentally killed my grandma? The doctor told me her life support got unplugged
I don't understand what you mean by avoiding patches that are directly next to you when you can *only* move through patches that are next to you. But I think my main problem with dropping chains right now is that the patch of grass I have access to is tiny and it keeps randomly selecting all 4 patches out of range of the grass. It feels like a lot of areas in this game are built to make this approach virtually impossible because of how small they are, like I might as well be doing this the old fashioned brute force way...
Yeah, there are very few patches big enough to truly get a good chain going in this game. As for avoiding patches directly beside you, I just meant to avoid shaking grass directly beside the player as it seems to break your chain at an increased rate. I could be wrong though, that was just my experience with it.
Hm, not sure about the recharging bit as I've never encountered it before in Infinite Fusion. In mainline pokemon games youd typically need to run around for about 40 steps per use before the radar is fully recharged but as far as I know that has not been implemented into Infinite Fusion. It has been a while since ive played the game, however. As for patches not working, make sure youre entering shaking grass patches 4 tiles away from where you used the pokeradar. These patches should also not be on the edges or corners of your chosen area, as this will break your chain about 50% of the time.
my jirachi became shiny after i unfused it. It was fused with a normal reshiram. is it possible that theres an astronomically low chance for a pokemon to be shiny after being unfused?
Its possible that it could be an extremely rare bug/glitch. I've heard of a similar case where two non-shiny pokemon produced a shiny fusion, so it could be possible that there's a very small chance for a non-shiny Pokemon to turn shiny upon being fused/unfused. I cant imagine this would be intended, but a free shiny is a free shiny either way.
I'm pretty sure when you unfuse two pokemon it rerolls almost everything about them. This means that every time you unfuse, there's a 1/4096 chance that either of them will be shiny.
so i am kinda confused i use the poke radar and every time i try to walk to the grass with Pokémon i keep encountering Pokémon when i just turn. how do i stop just using repel?
If its breaking without entering patches of shaking grass, its probably a repel issue. Make sure youve got one active at all times while hunting. It can break randomly but it shouldnt happen too frequently.
@@Fr_Ikaros Its probably the random breaks then. There is always a 7% chance that your chain can break after each encounter, even if the chain is done perfectly.
I've found that really small patches of grass are just terrible with this method because it has to spawn at least 1 of the 4 patches on a grass tile and if all 4 miss, you just drop. It also means that most of the grass is edge, to make matters even worse.

I found a bug I got a shiny I first tried to use the pokeraidar by chaining now every time I defeat a Pokémon and I Walk into a new patch of grass it’s a different Pokémon all so it could be because I’m on a randomised save
Im not too experienced with randomized shiny hunting unfortunately, It should still work as normal. Try picking patches further from your initial starting point, this could possibly fix the issue. If not though, i'm not sure.
does using bag reset chain? and when you use pokeradar its sometimes says "nothing happened...", does this makes chain reset? (Im sorry for asking to many question :( but does it same for every uptade? ) (thanks if you answer)
Sorry i didnt answer earlier, Congrats on your shiny! To answer your questions though no, opening your bag should not break your chain. When the game says "nothing happened" that just means the shaking patches of grass were unable to appear which does break your chain.
What should I do if a chain breaks randomly while walking towards shaking grass? It's not that any pokemon appears or I step outside grass, I just walk towards shaking grass not even get to it and it all stops and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or is there a bug or something
i have the same problem evn with repel on. i sometime just dont encounter a pokemon when entering the shaking grass. also, does using the radar repeatetly to get a better grass position ruin the chain?
@@drowsylevin A pokemon not appearing when entering shaking grass is a slightly different issue. Every chain has about a 7% chance to break randomly. This cannot be avoided. A chain breaking randomly WITHOUT entering any shaking grass is a repel issue. im currently at 8 shinies at full odds, going for a sleeping snorlax rn at 4580. Most of my shinies are from trainer trades, also gift pokemon. I just wish soft resetting was easier than quitting everytime and that loading the game after many quits didnt slow down and make me have to restart the game. Definitely wish I had this video when I was researching it, actually got confirmation from a mod in the discord that nothing is shiny locked and they said they heard that from the creator so do with that what you will.
While soft resets can take a while, to my knowledge there are no shiny locks. This means that you should be able to shiny hunt anything from static encounters to gift pokemon. Im pretty sure you can also shiny hunt the triple fusions if you wanted to.
I remember reading somewhere how to adjust the shiny odds in the games coding. I followed the instructions and nothing happened. Is it not possible in later versions of the game? Thank you so much for showing us this!!
Dude this is super helpful I only have one question does catching the pokemon further decrease the odds of breaking the chain? Or is koing them fine? Thanks again super helpful vid
Catching a pokemon will have the same affect as defeating them, so both will progress your hunt as normal. As long as you dont run from the mon you should be all good.
what happens when u get to 40 of chain? u can exit the grass? also i thought u could lose ur chain if the radar didnt had space to spawn the encounters oh and last question, how could be done this in caves? or it doesnt work
Once you get a chain of 40, you can just keep using the pokeradar to reroll the shaking patches. Yes, there is unfortunately a chance that the chain will break at this point in the chain. You cannot exit the grass, the chain must be kept to keep the increased odds. The second the chain is broken those odds go away. This method unfortunately cannot be done in caves.
