    QUITE A FEW CORRECTIONS TO THIS VIDEO AS MORE INFORMATION HAS RELEASED SINCE IT WAS MADE:
    3:42: This is untrue.
    When entering a patch of shaking grass directly next to you there is a 14% chance that your chain will break.
    If you travel 4 tiles away from the player (Blue Squares In Diagram) there is only a 2% chance that your chain breaks.
    Additionally, your chain CANNOT break this way beyond a chain of 40.
    In the main series games, a chain of 40 gives you the maximum odds. As of recording this video I believed that this was the case in infinite fusion as well.
    This is also incorrect. Your chain maxes out at 20, with a 1/200 chance that any given patch seen is shiny.

  • @Krikenemp18
    @Krikenemp18 Год назад +5

    I don't understand what you mean by avoiding patches that are directly next to you when you can *only* move through patches that are next to you. But I think my main problem with dropping chains right now is that the patch of grass I have access to is tiny and it keeps randomly selecting all 4 patches out of range of the grass. It feels like a lot of areas in this game are built to make this approach virtually impossible because of how small they are, like I might as well be doing this the old fashioned brute force way...

    • @FrostConner
      @FrostConner  Год назад +4

      Yeah, there are very few patches big enough to truly get a good chain going in this game. As for avoiding patches directly beside you, I just meant to avoid shaking grass directly beside the player as it seems to break your chain at an increased rate. I could be wrong though, that was just my experience with it.

    • @FrostConner
      @FrostConner  11 месяцев назад

      Hm, not sure about the recharging bit as I've never encountered it before in Infinite Fusion. In mainline pokemon games youd typically need to run around for about 40 steps per use before the radar is fully recharged but as far as I know that has not been implemented into Infinite Fusion. It has been a while since ive played the game, however.
      As for patches not working, make sure youre entering shaking grass patches 4 tiles away from where you used the pokeradar. These patches should also not be on the edges or corners of your chosen area, as this will break your chain about 50% of the time.

    • @FrostConner
      @FrostConner  6 месяцев назад

      Its possible that it could be an extremely rare bug/glitch. I've heard of a similar case where two non-shiny pokemon produced a shiny fusion, so it could be possible that there's a very small chance for a non-shiny Pokemon to turn shiny upon being fused/unfused. I cant imagine this would be intended, but a free shiny is a free shiny either way.

    • @DannySEP
      @DannySEP 2 месяца назад

      I'm pretty sure when you unfuse two pokemon it rerolls almost everything about them. This means that every time you unfuse, there's a 1/4096 chance that either of them will be shiny.

      I've found that really small patches of grass are just terrible with this method because it has to spawn at least 1 of the 4 patches on a grass tile and if all 4 miss, you just drop. It also means that most of the grass is edge, to make matters even worse.

    UPDATE:
    There are 2 types of shiny pokemon in infinite fusion.
    Red Star Shinies have been legitimately obtained through in game hunting methods.
    Black Stars Shinies are obtained through manipulation of the games code.
    According to the developer of infinite fusion, there is a bug that displays pokeradar shinies as black star shinies, despite being legitimately obtained.
    On top of that, there is a chance that a pokemon will lose its Red Star when fused with another pokemon. This is also a known issue.

      Once you get a chain of 40, you can just keep using the pokeradar to reroll the shaking patches. Yes, there is unfortunately a chance that the chain will break at this point in the chain.
      You cannot exit the grass, the chain must be kept to keep the increased odds. The second the chain is broken those odds go away.
