The Hyundai Creta is more appealing than before. But it misses out on the wow factor. Three reasons to not buy one. First, the cabin is not as premium as Seltos - the finish for the plastics on the dashboard looks a bit budget in comparison and the design is not as cool either. Also its controls for the aircon are very button heavy. To be clear - it feels solidly built - it just doesn't look as good. Second, it doesn't feel sporty to drive - the Creta has always offered a comfortable and quiet cabin. And the facelift is great on this front. However, it lacks sportiness when driven hard around corners.
Third, there are missing engine options. Two petrols and the diesel are all available with manual transmission - but it misses out on an iMT - which is a very convenient, cost effective and efficient solution - It would have been great for the diesel - because the the diesel’s clutch can feel tiring to use in traffic. Your only option then is to go for the much more expensive automatic.
