- The #Dnieper (#Dnipro) River is the 4th longest river of the European continent and an incredibly important shipping lane for Ukraine's economy. While the river starts of in Russia and spends the first 1000 kilometers in Russia and Belarus, it only becomes a truly great river once crossing the border to #Ukraine. Thousands of tributaries feed into the Dnieper River, draining an area the size of Ukraine itself, before it is led into the Black Sea. The Ukrainian part of the Dnieper River is characterized by large reservoirs originating from several hydropower stations which have been built along its course. Despite this, a series of dams and locks allow ship and barge traffic all the way up to the Russian territory, and through the Dnieper-Bug canal, even to the Baltic Sea.

not Dnieper - but Dnipro!
Long live Dnipro🙏
Very interesting; thank you for sharing.
Very good video, thanks for uploading
1:09 you forgot the Zaporizhia hydro power plant - the biggest on this river. Plus, the Dniprodzerzhynsk changed its old soviet name to the new one couple years ago - now it is Kamianske
The Dnipro-Bug canal is closed now, Belarus has copletely locked it
Do you have any plans to make videos on the rio de la Plata and on the Danube?
I'm actually working on a Danube video right now :) Rio de la Plata isn't on the schedule yet but also a very interesting one!
@@FactSparkThanks
Am I the only one who noticed the Belarusian flag he displayed has a hammer and sickle
Is it really how you suppose to pronounce the name of the river? Wiki says: The Dnieper (/(də)ˈniːpər/), also called Dnipro (/dəˈniːproʊ/)
Dnipro, not Dnieper
The river flows through, dividing the land mass into 2 sections. The water flows down and forms into a large body.
Dnipro
I want more rivers !!!!!
❤
This youtuber does good job in this subject 😀😃😄We hope you have more clips about these rivers in time of Russia invasion .😉😉😉😉
Ukranians apart from killing the Russian speaking- feeling populations during all these last ten years were also the FIRST that went in Iraq to help the Americans..Did you know that beautiful boy? 😉
Okay
Interesting video. The African nations are indeed fortunate to have access to the Russian agricultural market which is replacing the Ukrainian supplied food commodities. Indeed none of the dire warnings of food shortages from the start of the SMO has come to pass. A lot of the first grain ships from Ukraine after the agreement in Istanbul went not to the poorer African nations but primarily as animal feed to European countries like Spain, the Netherlands and Ireland. The route for grain through Eastern Europe has been blocked by protesting Polish farmers whose income is adversely affected by large amounts of discounted grain from Ukraine. A final point would be the extent of GMO frankenstein grain because of the purchase of huge tracts of farmland by Vulture Funds from the United States of America but Ukraine has denied the presence of Genetically Modified US grain seed.
1:00 as ukrainian I have to give you a medal 🏅 for pronouncing these names.
Much appreciated ✌️
@@FactSpark ❤️
90% OF UA Grain exports go to EU and other Developed Nations like Japan are majoritly used as animal feed. Only Eqypt uses significant UA Grain exports in Africa.
Whereas Russia ships Wheat Free of Charge to and at huge discount to many developing nations.
FACTS
Well the last reservoir is fucked now
What kind if pronunciation is that? Dnieper is never pronounced [nAIpər], neither in English, nor in any other language.
Dnieper is how we learned it at school.
I'm all for reviving this waterway, but not for routing it thru Russia, or even Belarus. Avoid the evil, and the world can have a very useful waterway.
Yawn.
Vwry nice video about the Dieneper river but I don't understand why you had to ruin it with politics
This river is called the Dnipro, not the Dnieper.
Also, the river Prypiat, not Pripyat.
+ not the russian invasion, it's called a full-scale russian invasion. Russian invasion was in 2014.

This is probably very true. An amazing river indeed.

💔
Bit like the collapse of the marib dam in Yemen
You mean Ukraine led by neo-nazis in Kiev😏
Russia blew Kakhovka dam - largest dam in Ukraine
Yeah right. And it also blew up its own gas pipeline. Stop drinking the kool-aid.
That's aaabsolutely correct. And put Russian Crimea and new-old russian lands of Kherson and Zaporozhye without water from Dnieper for years...
Stop lying! The kakhovka dam was destroyed by the Ukrainian military.
քʀօʍօֆʍ 😋
Dnipro*, not "denypreh". #Dnipro (#Dnieper), not #Dnieper (#Dnipro). Talking about Ukraine but using ruzzian name of this river is so cringy inappropriate.
*the ukraine. not ukraine.

Talking about Dnieper and never say a word about old Russian and Belorussian cities on its banks like Smolensk and Mogilev. As well as about Dnieper (Katharineslav), Zaporozhye (Alexandrovsk) and Kherson cities erected exclusively by Russians and for Russian account 200 years ago.
@@user-uk6de1wq2c the entire history of the r***a is totally fake
Muscovy is a horde and have nothing to do with Kyivan Rus. Piotr I stole this this name.
Smolensk, Moghylyov are Belarusian cities only, likewise Dnipro, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson are Ukrainian.

The «horrors caused by Russia» were more the result of the NATO-supported genocide by the Nazi-troops on the payroll of the Kiev-regime of the Russian majority population in the historic Russian regions. Those regions were annexed by the Ukrainian state at the declaration of independence. The third world did not suffer anything from the grain situation. Russia compensated for the loss of the Ukrainian supply, gifting large quantities of cereals to the poorest of countries.
How much did the Kremlin pay you to write this?

Brothers and Sisters, God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus Christ for us to save us from our sins, and he bled and died on a cross for us to redeem us from death, and to gain life everlasting, for those who put their trust in him. And what's more, he has risen, and is willing to call you to repentance (correction) and as his witness, by his grace indeed. "For it is by grace you are saved, through faith". Jesus loves you, God cares for you! Therefore, repent and believe the gospel.
