I just got the rtr rx8te truggy it came with plastic shock caps and I broke one and have ordered the metal one from the pro kit . Iwas going to remove when I noticed the bottom screw holing shock is not a screw but a metal pin and I'm not sure if I remove it can I reuse the pin or replace with screw. I just don't want to break the pin and have any further problems. Do you know any insite on this ?

@@nathanwelker8038 Yes I do. To replace the shock caps you’re going to need the Serpent Srx8 stand offs. The new metal caps you bought do not bolt right on. You must replace the stock ones stand offs with the srx8 T stand offs
Also the buggy isn’t an srx8t. It is the rtr which is an 811 T with lower quality parts. I have the srx8 Truggy now, but this was the 811 in this video. Also the front shock tower is a weak point being that it is carbon and not cnc aluminum. I can’t remember but the Team edition that I had used 3 mm holes also so if yours has 2mm holes and you don’t want to replace the shock tower yet, buy the buggy stand offs or srx8t stand offs. The 811 used bigger ones. Worst comes to worse just drill it out if you get the 3mm ones, would be pretty simple on the carbon tower. Hope I am remembering correctly. Good luck.
