This game had an actual fighting game engine and combo mechanics with fluidity. Its been overstated, not at all like smash. And we all miss it so much.

Totally! Today I played this game after 8 years I think. This game can be AWESOME, all the characters that are not in smash could be here and a couple of years down the line have a crossover between the games. It could be like Minecraft and Terraria, competitors but friends.

I still hope for a sequel with more effort, love and care out into it. This wasn't a bad idea. Far from it. They just didn't give it everything it deserved
I remember getting this game on 2013 and I had a blast playing it with my friends after school. I wish there was a sequel and I feel the idea of having two worlds in one stage was and is still pretty cool. Recently I got to play it again and I tried to use another characters like Sackboy and I saw his moves and was so surprised on how they manage to adjust the gadgets of his games into his move set. I think the game is pretty solid and tried to did something different than smash, but since it got categorized as a clone and people were expecting the game to be the same as smash, it didn`t achieved the potential that it deserved.
I also got the recommendation. I was like "nostalgia is calling, I miss this game ;___;" oh those times when I used to main Sackboy, and later on "ditched" him for Parappa...

No matter what anyone says about this game it was amazing and fun to play, Whether it was split screen or playing online. Till this day it remains forever in my heart as the PlayStation version of Smash bros with all these characters I grew up with over the years

Poor execution, poor roster. Characters that should have been in this game were either left alone, or taken by Smash Bros. It would have done better if it either ditched the smash-esque 2.5D style, or if it completely copied Smash all the way.
Any lingering fans of this game should definitely check out the ten year retrospective Golden Bolt just dropped. Showed just how special this game truly was and why it deserves a proper chance for a sequel

I give Superbot credit for trying to do its own thing instead of just copying Smash Bros but the whole you can only get a KO with a Super move thing was a big mistake, as it feels like it relies on luck than skill. If we ever get a sequel that needs to be fixed

I have so many fond memories of me and my siblings playing this together, I know people have differing opinions on this game, but this is honestly great. Really do miss my working PS3.
It’s weird how when every franchise now is being put into a battle royale setting, people are suddenly missing this game even though it was relatively disliked when it came out. I’ve always liked playing it despite its flaws, and would honestly love to see a sequel with all the kinks worked out.
It unfortunately had bad support. In addition to Smash fanatics calling the game a ripoff, Sony basically half-arsed the game, shooting down a bunch of ideas Superbot had and forcing them to add random characters from games that weren't even out yet. It got so bad that Sony randomly pulled the plug on Superbot after having so much content ready. Superbot also unfortunately couldn't get the rights to some characters. :( Now that the PS5 has been announced, it's time for Sony to learn from their mistakes and wow us with an All-Stars 2!
Isaac Cooper honestly part 2 could actually do well, i kinda would like them to keep this roster but knowing them they would most likely cut, dante, heihachi, and cole in place of delsin sadly... but if they could add newcomers that are recognizable, and make the online better, it could be epic

Miss this game. Weird feeling seeing this again after all those years. Hope they realize that seeing a PS4/PS5 port come out & a sequel announced for later would be great for both Sony & the fans. Back then, I was already a fan of most of these characters. The very few I didn’t know; ended up forgetting about them but got to know them through the remakes/remasters & my binging of old games that people loved. That makes me like the game even more than before & want to play it again. Im sure there’s lots of PS fans in the same scenario out there. Also, lots of new (potential buyers) fans/gamers from the younger ones that started gaming since then. Come on Sony.
It doesn't matter if I was a fan of smash forever and that I no longer play PlayStation. This game was my introduction to fighting game platform and was my childhood.
With all of the revivals for classic series going on right now, it’s the perfect time to bring this back in a big way. Let’s get these gaming icons together again.

It was by no means a masterpiece. The mechanics were flawed. But it had potential. And it wasn't a bad game either.

Poor execution, poor roster. Characters that should have been in this game were either left alone, or taken by Smash Bros. It would have done better if it either ditched the smash-esque 2.5D style, or if it completely copied Smash all the way.
Tbh this game has better characters than smash because now smash is just a full of meme and overrated characters such as steve, sora, sans
PLEASE SONY MAKE ONE FOR THE PS4 AT THE END OF THE PS4 LIFECYCLE THAT WOULD BE A REAL TRIBUTE.
Also, it can be released on the new console, with the PS4's lifecycle concluded, can be a perfect oportunity to expand the roster.

Any lingering fans of this game should definitely check out the ten year retrospective Golden Bolt just dropped. Showed just how special this game truly was and why it deserves a proper chance for a sequel

I give Superbot credit for trying to do its own thing instead of just copying Smash Bros but the whole you can only get a KO with a Super move thing was a big mistake, as it feels like it relies on luck than skill. If we ever get a sequel that needs to be fixed

It’s weird how when every franchise now is being put into a battle royale setting, people are suddenly missing this game even though it was relatively disliked when it came out. I’ve always liked playing it despite its flaws, and would honestly love to see a sequel with all the kinks worked out.
Stuff that might be considered cringe back then came back as a popular trend beloved by the youth who grew up with it

This game was low key fire. sad it never got the recognition it deserved.
It unfortunately had bad support. In addition to Smash fanatics calling the game a ripoff, Sony basically half-arsed the game, shooting down a bunch of ideas Superbot had and forcing them to add random characters from games that weren't even out yet. It got so bad that Sony randomly pulled the plug on Superbot after having so much content ready. Superbot also unfortunately couldn't get the rights to some characters. :(
Now that the PS5 has been announced, it's time for Sony to learn from their mistakes and wow us with an All-Stars 2!
Isaac Cooper honestly part 2 could actually do well, i kinda would like them to keep this roster but knowing them they would most likely cut, dante, heihachi, and cole in place of delsin sadly... but if they could add newcomers that are recognizable, and make the online better, it could be epic

Kratos vs Sweet Tooth was always a killer hype scene, i was like 12 in a Frys Electronics and i begged my dad to get me this game. I loved it man.

Miss this game. Weird feeling seeing this again after all those years.
Hope they realize that seeing a PS4/PS5 port come out & a sequel announced for later would be great for both Sony & the fans.
Back then, I was already a fan of most of these characters.
The very few I didn’t know; ended up forgetting about them but got to know them through the remakes/remasters & my binging of old games that people loved.
That makes me like the game even more than before & want to play it again. Im sure there’s lots of PS fans in the same scenario out there.
Also, lots of new (potential buyers) fans/gamers from the younger ones that started gaming since then.
