If you were in your opponents shoes, would you have gone armor piercing rounds on the stangs early?
Also, being so dependent on the forts he almost needed some front line mustangs
Or why not put forts on his corner to prevent the fire badgers?

No on AP. They'll never outscale sledge with armor, so AP alone won't do them any good. Forts (or another high dmg unit like scorpions) were essential on turn 4, or my sledges will just continue to level to the point of no return.
Yes to forward mustangs to clear fangs right away. He's just lacking forward chaff in general.
EM would also be pretty good if he wants to make mustangs viable vs sledges.
As for the fire badgers, he prob didn't have the money to deal both the frontal pressure and the corners, which makes those badgers so useful to his board.
