"From the heat of the desert to the pinch of the coast" nice 👍😎 the sunset picture taken from on the pier is sweet. Maybe the seals were hamming it up for the photographers🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for that unique angle on the Swakop jetty... I am from cape Town and have seen hundreds of pics of that jetty at camera club evenings... never that one!! You have even shot things in cape Town that I have not. LOL...We are doing Sossus, Swakop,Etosha and Canyon in May..Cannot wait to get back. Namibia is truly God's country. FYI - Erindi Private game reserve in Namibia have Wild dogs in a breeding programme , but I see that their Camping/chalet option ( camp Elephant ) is still closed after covid...We were there in 2016 and got to go into the Wild Dog enclosure on a vehicle and be guaranteed a sighting ...Otherwise it is Botswana or Kruger . Great to see you out and about again
I'm so happy for you guys, enjoying your travel days once again. Love the seal photos, you really captured their expressions on their sweet little faces. I do a happy dance when I see your videos appear on RUclips! Happy travels guys!
Did 3 weeks in Namibia last August. Good to see some of the spots we were at are nice to see again. Thanks. As for my animal...I loved the wild dogs we saw in Kruger.
Interesting that you said it looks a bit like Iceland. Just been there and said it looked a bit like Namibia in some space. Especially with the wide gravel fields.
Have you documented your routes in terms of places, roads, vehicles etc that could be used in planning Namibia road trips? You have been to all the great places why not add to your website? Or have I missed it?. Both photographers and plain travellers would find it useful. Love the videos.
Love the video, it looks so fabulous there! I actually had a question. So many videos are based around landscapes and round trips throughout epic countries, but I know you've visited a lot of great cities too. Wondered what your favorite cities are to photograph in? Happy weekend to you!
I actually love urban photography. I just sort of get wrapped up in the landscapes and wildlife a bit. My favourite cities for photography: Porto, Copenhagen, Tallinn, Seville, New York, Singapore, Gdansk, Amsterdam, etc.
Hey man, amazing video first of all. I got some questions and would appreciate it if you could help. I am flying to Namibia in 3 weeks and will be there between 21-26 May. 1. I have two tripods, PD Carbon Travel Tripod and Benro TMA37AL. Benro is quite hefty but I can carry it in the suitcase. I suppose I need a strong and heavy tripod due to strong winds there? Which 3 Legged Thing Tripod did you take with you? How did it performant in such winds? (My gear: Sony A7RV + Primes + 100-400mm Telephoto.) 2. I have the same Shimoda Explore v2 backpack, the 35L version. I am flying to Walvis Bay from Cape Town with Airlink Airlines Embraer ERJ135 aircraft. Which aircraft did you fly in to Namibia with? I am not sure if the Shimoda Explore 35L would fit into the overhead bins of the ERJ135. I tried asking the airline but couldn't get a definitive answer. 3. Regarding Drones, planning to bring my Mavic 3 with me. Did you encounter any legal issues while flying your drone there? Did you need any prior papers etc? Would appreciate your answer here or feel free to send me an e-mail (you can find my email in my RUclips Profile About section). Instagram also works, link in RUclips bio. Btw, will you or any one of your friends gonna be in Namibia between 21-26 May? I'd love to meet up. Best Regards, Can Inelli
Pretty massive actually. The R6 has amazing dynamic range and better low light handling. It's also much faster in terms of focusing and fps. My R is feeling really old these days.
Lots of wildlife photography coming on the next video from Namibia. What's the wild animal you'd love to photograph the most?
"From the heat of the desert to the pinch of the coast" nice 👍😎 the sunset picture taken from on the pier is sweet. Maybe the seals were hamming it up for the photographers🤣🤣🤣
If you can, take a small plane tour around Swakobmund. It gives you, such a great view of the town, ship wrecks and coast.
Dude! This was an epic video! Thoroughly enjoyed it and great inspiration!
Thanks, Paul. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
What an adventure, love watching your trips as the passion just oozes from you as you speak about the landscapes - thanks so much for sharing :p.
I'm glad you liked the video, Judy! :D
Beautiful footage - looks like an amazing trip! Loved seeing the wildlife of Namibia

What an amazing place! Photographer’s paradise! Thanks for taking me along!
Glad to see you back!! Wildlife photography for sure is one of my favorites.
I can't get enough.
Ah, photographer's crack - once seen can never be unseen. Great images Brendan, and video Greg.

Don't tell me about Wild dogs, please. It's been my #1 wildlife photography dream since the beginning of time and I haven't had it happen.
Namibia is always so amazing 😍
Right?! Such a special country.
Beautiful pier shot.
Thanks, mate!

Stunning vista and wildlife! But what the phoque was that smell? 😉
I'm glad someone caught that joke hahaha
I also hope it didn't translate bad in the Google Auto-captions lol
@@BrendanvanSon I turned on CC and the English captions omitted "phoque" altogether 😂 Who knows what other language CCs did...
Good choice of music in this one mate. Fit the flow well👌🏼
Thanks. But, dude, you look like an ambulance driver in that profile picture.
@@BrendanvanSon hahahaha. Karma's a bitch. Well played. 👏
Good to see you on the road again, Brendan.....it's been a while. You mentioned Jodie; are you two still together?
Yup, still going strong :D

@@BrendanvanSon Awesome choices! From that list we've visited Amsterdam, Porto and New York and they're all great picks, especially Porto.
Eau du Phoque, Classic!
Not a line of fragrances that I would recommend.

Awesome video what is the difference in image quality between the Canon R and Canon 6Mk II
Pretty massive actually. The R6 has amazing dynamic range and better low light handling. It's also much faster in terms of focusing and fps. My R is feeling really old these days.
@@BrendanvanSon Thank You, I have the Canon R, I'm trying to justify the upgrade. One day can you do a review on your Canon R6 MK II
I am a Namibian I like the wild life of Namibia and mostly the lions
used some of your Canadian snow driving skills I see.
Always, haha
Nice 😃
Thanks 😄
@@BrendanvanSon yep 😃
Eh, you're like buttah this week, on a roll with these videos of late
Buttah!!
I definitely wasn't peeing there 🤣
Lies! I have clips before this one, should I make a short of it?
@@BrendanvanSon hahaha 😂
I would love a meal of seal meat there. Yummie.
