I've played Viktor for 120k mastery over a couple of seasons and I clicked in this video thinking "lol what more could there possibly be to this champ" Minute 0 and I learnt about the Q animation cancel lol. Fantastic guide
Lol glad it helped! Yeah sometimes I've seen pro players not know stuff about Champs they main. Also fun little thing for viktor, lasting any clone in the game gives you 25 passive stacks. Shaco ult, leblanc passive clone, wukong, neeko. Any clone of a champ in the game.
I have been playing Viktor for a while now, it never occurs to me that his R disrupt other champion's ability. I thought I only had to use his W. Thanks for the guide.
I've been playing vik a lot this season. I've played him before but dropped him when they made his ult proc every 2 secs when at that point ppl could just walk out of it. But when they changed it to every second I picked him back up and I'm happy to say that without ever watching "how to carry with vik" vids until now (because it was recommended to me) that I have been implementing all these strats EXCEPT the W+R one. I always thought it was laggy asf and felt laggy asf when I W first then R but I always scared if i R first they would just panic flash out of it and W would miss especially if I'm ambushing them from face checking a brush. But now ik to r first then W for a cleaner combo transition.
I'm glad I could teach you something you didn't know . Viktor is in a super good spot right now too with new items and runes. Just waiting for them to get nerfed and then evaluating where he stands
So i just started playing viktor, and these kind of tips are incredibly helpful. I'm a silver player, so I'm still learning a ton about the game. I find the matchup specific information incredibly helpful, as I'm still feeling out for how matchups should feel. So thank you for this kind of content around the 5 minute mark.
Fun fact : you don't actually need to click on the ground or input two AA commands to do the fast Q+AA combo. The only thing that matters is the Auto attack input happening after the cast time of the Q (the bar in the middle of the screen) is over. If you input the auto too early, it gets buffered, and you have to wait for the full Q animation. Clicking on the ground or inputing double AA just forces you to wait for this cast time to expire, and allows you to do the "fast combo" :) Otherwise great video thanks for that, subbed
It's just more reliable to double click the AA because it's unlikely you'll get the perfect click every time so doing 2 fast mean it's more consistent. Same logic as to why spamming an ability just before it's off cooldown gets max dps since you aren't waiting a fraction of a sec with the ability off cooldown. Yeah if you are able to get that 1 click perfect every time then yes that is the best way to do it and thank you for the sub and glad you enjoyed the video I appreciate it.
Input buffering is the fastest way to do things on a consistent basis. Khazix double jump requires it just to even execute semi consistently especially on higher ping.
crash 2nd wave is usually worse than crashing 3rd. If you crash 3rd, then you do it around minute 3, which is when boths junglers will usually leave jungle with lvl 3. This makes min 3 crash way more beneficial, because you can help your jungler much more then. crashing 2nd wave was better when crabs were respawning earlier. Now there is really no point to do it.
It does depend on the junlger too if they can cheese gank you. Yes crashing wave 3 is the safer option to generally do since it's more reliable and better for timing. Crashing 2nd is good if you want to get a deep ward on raptors early, or you can just ward them as wave 1 crashes. But yes crashing wave 3 is generally better.
New league player here! Basically every game I touch that has heroes or champions I always one-trick-pony one of them, in LoL's case it's Viktor, been watching through a lot of guides, most of them of course don't fully apply to the current season but the basics and especially this video were super helpful!

Only go Liandrys if you know they are stacking a lot of hp like if they have a Chogath or Darius, Ornn anyone who builds or gets lots of hp only then. It's not bad just not as good as the cheaper options since crown and everfrost are 2800 I never go ludens now
I saw you building Liandry's instead of Luden's and I want to ask why do you do? Also Lich Bane seems good on Viktor and I saw youtubers sometimes build it and sometimes not and I don't know when should I build it.
Liandry's always scales better, on Viktor I pair it with Sorcs if I'm up against norm team I go cdr boots if I'm against mostly hyper tanks. The only time I go Ludens is if someone else on my team goes Liandry's because they don't stack if you are hitting the same person, unless the enemy team has 2 hyper tanks then I'm fine with 2. Lich is good but only when you are snowballing, you never want to go it 2nd because you need more ap to make the empowered auto feel useful enough. I only really go lich if I don't need anything else like void, oblivion orb, if I don't have enough for death cap. Lich is better with ludens and if the enemy team isn't building mr which doesn't happen often in higher elo.
I knew something was wrong with putting w before r but i never could tell what. Thanks for the video! I am new to mid because jungle meta sucks now and i main viktor, do you have any advices for the low elo bronze-silver viktor players?
I would recommend not to play viktor. To try Annie or malz mid, but if you really want to play hi. Practicing farming foe the first 10min of the game. If you can consistently get 80cs at 10min you have e evolve and can perma shove waves to get a gold lead. Don't try to roam to much or anything early, really get good at that first 10min and try to side lane a lot to keep your farm up as the game goes on.
@@akuchi_bleh sorry I didn't see this comment. Most of the time e first is good if I get my upgrade pre level 5 from some early fights I always go q since you can't 1 shot casts till level 7 with e. Also some match ups like fizz or irelia ill upgrade q first depending on how the game is going
I just made a video and summoner are a part of it. All of it is helpful or you can skip to the summoner spells section ruclips.net/video/m0aPHPQdDOM/видео.html
Orianna is pretty bad, ziggs is so so, viktor is in an okay spot like he has been for like years now. Not broken op yeah there are better mids but he isn't. bad. If you wanna pick up a mid syndra is broken right now
Depends on how flawless you can play a mid to late game. If you just farm you lose all priority over the map and presence in the lane. You can hope your top and bot lane don't int while you farm and scale up, but how reliable is that in solo queue? If you think you can carry a mid game team fight while the enemy is ahead and your whole team is down in items and xp then go for it. Solo queue and pro play are 2 different worlds, trying to copy pro play in solo queue isn't always the best play style.
