- We spent 3 days trying to bring some order in front of the house: cut the wildly grown trees, cleaned the tiles, cut the bushes in front the windows, revealed beautiful cobblestones under the mud... It is so satisfying to watch! We hope you enjoy this timelapse. Episode #4. Please subscribe to our channel to stay on top of our progress. Your likes and comments will be appreciated a lot!

Stunning clean-up. Just proves that you best start with cleaning up front and back yard and driveway. Makes coming and going a lot easier, and gives you courage to continue.
Just found your channel! I’m watching the from day 1 playlist! I’m obsessed! Love your channel!
I have now run out of videos…on both channels! You guys are doing amazing! So inspiring 🥰🥰🥰
I cannot believe those tiles were at the base of the foundation. Never would have imagined it. Satisfying work!
I love finding hidden treasures under all that dirt!
I'm jealous. If I found a place and could actually afford it, it would be so satisfying to accomplish something similar. What a transformation.
I cannot wait to see how far the cobblestone goes to the right side and the mail box (if that is what it is) is beyond fantastic, love it all. Take Care !
That sweet cloud is just adorable sailing around.
Wow, you're uncovering buried treasure! I love the cobblestones. What a find. Did you know they were under the mud? It's like an archaeological dig.
Just watching I get tired for the two of you! I love seeing the discovery and cleaning of all that cobblestone in front of the fence as well as leading up to the house. I imagine it must have been a joy to you. Now, of course, it is to make sure that Nature does not try to claim it back.
You guys did awesome great teammates 🙌
How amazing to see the lovely stone and cobbles under all that mud! Will look forward to seeing the yard all clear. Beautiful looking house btw.
Nice cobblestone driveway under all that mud! Must look great when it's kärchered. 😉 Great mailbox 👍🏾😎
Lovely family big supporting hand from childrens specially from girl
Amazing place you’ve bought guys.
I hope this is the start of a long and happy journey for you all.
Good luck from Ireland. 👍
What a boost to the appearance 👏
Your neighbors must be happy 😊
You can tell this was once a much loved house. The rock edging all down the pathway and around the letter box. Well done, it must be so satisfying to have a clear pathway to the house.
Thats typictly Belgian. My grandmother had the same scalopped edging in her garden. They are concrete.
So much work but so worth it! Your kids were a big help and l loved seeing the cat wandering all over the place 😁 Is that the original mailbox? I love the cobblestones. Great job!
Incredible amount of work, congrats for helping the front of the house breathe again! Looking forward to following your journey. Love from Australia!
This vid was so satisfying to watch. 2 months work brought so much beauty to the front of your lovely farm house. Very inspiring stuff.
Je découvre votre chaîne , bon courage a votre famille , c'est un formidable défit , bravo
Even your feline overlord/overlordess is working hard! It's surely hard to keep adult hoomans and their kittens at work. :)
I love the neighbours cat ...
Beautiful house. Can't wait to watch your restoration. Good Work.
Yeah did an awesome job who would’ve knew that was aDriveway there👍👍👍
Yes, very satisfying!! love your postbox and the cobbles - your front yard will be very appealing once it is "dressed" with some pretty flowers etc. Your youngest child and the cat so funny capering about :) and your older child such a good worker :)
Thanks a lot for your kind words! I have so many “dressing” plans for the front yard, can’t wait for the spring and summer to come...
Our younger helpers are indeed very different in the way how they approach the clean up 😁 but I am so happy they both are excited about it!
Very pretty house. The country looks fantastic.
Amazing 👏
Beautiful cobblestones under all that mud❗ I hope you had a low spot or two that you could dump the mud into. Making use of it would be a wonderful balance for the amount of work it took to remove it❗ 🙃
Great job well done❗ 👏 😉 🥰
That was a very awesome episode
nice job nice boots
I just loved this ... once I muted the repetitious music. I'm now about to binge-watch the next ones and look forward to many more. Your hard work or is impressive. Fantastic job!
Thanks loads, Viv! The repetitious music 😅 I got same comment from my husband, but it was to late to fix it...
@@DeHoeveOldBelgianFarm - I was trying to *find* the music! I loved it. Who does the music and what’s the song called?
@@nadinefoster5559 "Sunset n Beachz" from Ofshane
Great job
Great series, love it. You should get more tools so all the family can work at the same time. Keep up the videos
YOUR ARE SO COOL , LOVE DANMARK
I am amazed! What a wonderful job you both have done!
Prachtig die kasseien. Maar een hoop werk.
The amount of mud, tree branches, grass, and other natural material you moved was enormous. WOW! just WOW! I think you say at one point how long the house was empty. However how long do you estimate that it was in disrepair.
Душа радуется за такую чистоту!!!
You got one more follower 😍
That is amazing, fantastic job
wow i would be so excited if i excavated that drive way looks beautiful
The humans work, the cat inspects the job. I bet he (she?) counts how many wheelbarrows have been emptied too.
baking soda. a large amount around the pathway stones and the weeds will not be back for the year. Kilos of it. about a cm around each one come the spring growing season.
Hard work and good job! Very impressive! Why don't you take down two shutters, let the boys sand them, prime them, and paint them light blue and put them back up. That will make a real difference to the house and give the kids something they can do and participate in. Let them do all the shutters and the front door and make them proud!
наткнулся на ваш комент в жж у митрича, заглянул в ютуб к вам, классная ферма, красотища кругом!
Спасибо :-) это одна из главных причин, почему она нам так понравилась - относительная уединенность и виды вокруг
@@DeHoeveOldBelgianFarm
у вас круто!
huge difference
Looks like the "black" object in back of the gate post is a mail box / post box. I think I recognized the horn symbol from some Belgium stamps I had 60+ years ago. Narragansett Bay.
please say you will sandblast and restore that pretty gate............
Looking a bit better ✅
Yeh like it 👍👍👍
👍👍👍
I really wanted to get involved with a mini digger :)
sacrés bons bosseurs bravo
I hope you get dream home slowly, if not fast.
Hrabro naprijed,,,korak po korak 🌹🌹🌹
Nice...👍.
No idea whether you are still reading comments on videos from last year but have recently discovered you and am enjoying the videos. To get my only negative out of the way at the beginning, I'm not a fan of the repetitious "elevator music" which is just irritating and detracts from the story you're showing us. I'm loving the time-lapse (and the first video I watched was actually where you cleared the remainder of the frontage). Big respect to the kids who clearly try to help but it is amusing to watch them dip in and out of actual work and contribution. The building and its location, together with the restoration, remind me of a movie I recently enjoyed. A definite 'feel good' story, though it is in English. If you haven't watched 'The Hundred Foot Journey', you might enjoy it. All the best and looking forward to catching up on your progress with future videos.
Hi Mark, I do read. Many thanks for your kind words and feedback on the music as well :-) it helps me to improve the quality of the video so I don’t mind at all. I find it myself too repetitive here, but cannot change anymore.
Thanks a lot for recommendation, I will try to watch it this weekend :-)
@@DeHoeveOldBelgianFarm Hey, thanks for the really quick response. Really makes me feel like I engage with you! I do hope you manage to find the movie and that you enjoy it. If you like food, especially so.
I just watched the farmhouse tour whilst you were replying. Wow! What potential. As a cook, the outbuildings with the ovens are sooo exciting. Baking, roasting, home made wines, cheeses maybe, charcuterie. What fantastic potential. You've taken on an enormous challenge but you have wonderful material to work with. Good luck.
Aieeee! Don't any of your neighbors have a Bobcat or a front end loader?
No :-( but we gonna rent one next time
12:40 look at the tree, look pulmonary arteries ❤
Hey!
Dank u, Vincent! Die was 10 jaar onbewoond.
@@DeHoeveOldBelgianFarm Amai! Geweldig project 😊
Where do you left dirt and branches from the yard?
Great work! I see two cats running around and I know you don’t live there so who’s cats are those?
It should be only one cat running around - black and white. No other cats spotted so far. Where did you notice the second one?
First we thought that this cat belongs to the farm, he was always there, asking for food and attention, but a bit wild. We were thinking of adopting him. But then we found out that it is our neighbour's cat. He just loves to hang out on our farm 😅
@@DeHoeveOldBelgianFarm In another video there was also a grey striped cat.
@@nicolethijs5428 Oh :-) it's ours. He lives in our rented house with us. Curious how they gonna behave once we'll move in.
21:23 now you can sleep like a baby ❤
my husband says for the next tree removal adventure to "just use a shaped charge and it will all be over with but the crying in 8 seconds".
Wow it's looking better by the minute! Are there numbers in black on the front wall of the house between the upper and lower windows? Are they your address or the year the house was built? I can't see them all. Just curious🙂
Hi Micheal, the year when the house was built :-)
What is the metal object near the front gate?
Mailbox. Old school.
Where do the wheelbarrows of mud go?
To the garden. Big hill of mud and future compost resides there :-)
@@DeHoeveOldBelgianFarm I watched later videos and saw it! The soils looks really rich there! Best of luck with your projects!
loved this, and the family is beautiful. But the MOST annoying music loop ever. :(
Thanks, Dee!
Yep, got the same comment from many people, as well as from my husband. But it was too late to change it...
please, please, please...stop with the music and substitute nature ( even fake) sounds. birds, squirrels, bees, wind, rain, snow hushing all other sounds, driving rain, lightning & thunder, goats bleating, cats meowing....anything but stuff that reminds the world of "WAP".
Please please please...stop with the whining!
Do your children know how to speak English?
