Im a huge fan of your channel probably my fav on youtube but how come all your videos are disappearing ? You hands down had the best selection of races on here
The only thong with these races is that they require immense concentration if you want to really follow them properly. Because of a short sprint race, there's no 'big picture', and as always with plate racing, you have to watch every single moment to get the most out of it. Thanks for this.
I attended this race. We sat at top of the Anniston Tower in the first short chute. Seats for Saturday were $30 as I recall. Remember watching Earnhardt with his damaged fender briefly take the lead on that restart. Saw the ARCA race later that day when Chris Gehrke was injured. Cup race had to be run on Monday. So much rain that weekend.
I was at Talladega (first time there) for this race weekend. It was pretty miserable. We got rained on all weekend. Cup race ran a day late, on Monday. Today is 10/17/2024 and the title sponsor of IROC just announced they're folding after 75 years in business. Very sad.
Just to tell you I am sick about those NASCAR races going away, Please do everything you can do to get them back as soon as possible you have my support.
I never really liked iroc because it was mostly NASCAR guys and NASCAR guys won more races because it was all NASCAR tracks. Not really a true way to determine who's the best
One of my earliest memories watching auto racing. Looking at it now, I see how frustrating it must have been for some racing fans with this broadcast trio (not sure how one can see those replays and not notice Pruett tapping Schroeder twice, once to bump draft which gets Dorsey loose and a second time on the left rear quarter panel to collect him into Earnhardt and Little Al). I grew up with them watching Indy cars and enjoyed it as a kid but watching now, boy it didn't age all that well (I still laugh at times with how Bobby got on Sam, though).
Actually he didn't if you know the whole story Dale Earnhardt went up to him after the race and everything was all good it was no hard feeling after the race. In fact when Dale Sr died eddie cheever was crying in an interview about his death.
Never really liked IROC the field was usually at least half NASCAR guys running on NASCAR tracks. Gets kinda boring watching NASCAR guys clean house in these races.
IROC I was probably as fair as they could get. I know they raced at Riverside, CA for two races and the third at Daytona. Porsche Carreras were driven. I do agree it became " way too NASCAR" but we also need to understand that IROC is "extra" if you will. It needs to be limited time and travel time for these guys. Their main commitments lie elsewhere.
This one's been a LONG time coming. Enjoy!!!

Hey man did NASCAR copy right claim all of your videos? All the cup stuff is gone
@@jamesgentry13 No it was some one who didn't like full races on RUclips.
@@TheRacingGenius88 yeah I found that out last week
Thank you!!
Love the background intro music!
Dorey Schroeder's flip at 17:42
If Dorsey Schroeder's barrel roll on the backstretch wasn't interrupted by Al Unser Jr, he may still be flipping today.

Back when they didn't mind filming races from the net county over.
that was fun to watch. I wish IROC was brought back in some form or another.

Dam BIG E AND MARTIN
RULLED THE DAY S IROC NEEDS TO COME BACK
The only time Rusty Wallace ever won a race of any kind at Talladega.
He won a Grand American race there in '80 I believe.

7:03 race start
What the hell was Bud Dry? 😂
10 years Eddie Cheever almost got his ass kicked by Dale Earnhardt. Wish he had.

39:44, Pruett should have followed Martin for sure. He would have had a better shot at second but not a win.
