Am glad I found your RUclips channel - Love that bangle unfortunately all your pieces are to large for me.

If it's treated, is it still jade but low quality? Or is it some other stone? I have an A grade Guan Yin pendant and I have a bangle that isn't tested but glows under UV light. But held up to normal light the matrix inside of both of them looks the same. It looks like the same stone (but obviously the bangle is treated).
So if the bangle isn't jade, what stone would it be?

Aloha! If jade is treated, meaning it's supposed to be real jade still (at least that the terms that jewelers use). A low quality jade can be treated by a variety of methods such as dipping in acid to bleach all the impurity and "bad" color and/or injected with polymer. See this article for more details: vintagehulagal.com/2023/07/29/understanding-treated-jade-what-is-grade-a-b-c-d/.
If your jade a glowing under a UV light, it's probably either by waxing or by polymer. If waxing, usually it's concentrated at a crack or caving spot because wax was not wiped off completely after polishing. If it's wax, it's ok, it's not an indication if the jade is treated. However, this does not mean your jade is guaranteed to be grade A (non treated jade, which is the most valuable especially when it's has nice color, texture, watery...).
If it glows a lot under UV light and usably through out the bangle (like you see in this video), then most likely is was impregnated with polymer. So it's treated. Vendor can still say it's natural jade, but they can't say it's grade A. Treated jade is prone to breakage and doesn't increase value over time like non-treated jade. Therefore, they are not that valuable. Think of them like a nice costume jewelry piece. Hope it helps!
