I can tell that this is going to be goofy and I love it. Way too many game developers take themselves to seriously, it’s refreshing to have a jokester 😊.
OMG! This was EPIC! 😱 I can't believe you made a 3D roguelike game in just 7 days! The procedural generation part was mind-blowing, and the different types of enemies with their own weapons? Genius! 🤯 I loved the part where you added the slide movement, it looked so fun! And the final boss was a cool surprise. Can't wait to see what you'll do next! Keep up the amazing work! 👏👏👏
kinda want to start making games w unity do you have any advice as to where to start? i mean i 100% should not be learning to code rn because i have my finals coming up and instead of studying im learning russian, learning c#, writing music, etc etc. probably should just study lmao but still any advice would be greatly appreciated
I think the best way to learn game dev is to watch a few tutorials on RUclips, maybe a tutorial series, just to understand the basics of everything. Then just start making your own projects. I would recommend starting off simple and making a game around a single mechanic, for example try to make a simple platformer with a few levels and a dash mechanic. You can then expand on that simple game and add new features, or start a new project around a new mechanic. In short, the best way to learn is to just do it. You'll see yourself improving with every project. Good luck on your game development journey!
got the boss as wave 1, camped on the first platform and gunned him down, last runs second platform or fourth platform wouldnt load and i would have to restart
Hey man, I really enjoyed your video...hope to see more like this, but I have a question...I really want to be a game programmer, do you need to be good at math or things like that?
Thanks, glad you enjoyed. You generally only use addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in game programming, and it is usually very simple. Some things can get more advanced but 99% of game programming is just changing values. Best way to learn is to just do it, watch some tutorials to try and understand the basics and then start your own simple project. Good luck on your game programming journey :)
I'm not much of a game developer but here me out, what if, we had pre-made rooms and we generated those pre-made rooms 47 rooms or a little less are enough and alot of them can be just some lazy rooms
this is still eons beyond anything I could create in a year
With a little practice you could be making masterpieces just like this
@@ryegamedev if only life was that easy..
