I always thought fading down would be difficult, but I've been watching yours and s craft videos and tried it today and it came out pretty blurry. I'm a beginner but been getting better with every cut.. Being an academy member helps out a lot.. Thanks Chris.. You da man!!!
I find the whole fading down thing quite strange. When I trained that's how you did your trims. I then took some time out. When I came back into the business after 4 years out skin fades were a thing and they were done "upwards" and the way I was taught was called reverse or down fading. Funny how things go.
@@CesarSanchez-nu3eo should be open for debulking to keep length which is faded into from a 1 guard open. at the end of the day, i think it's down to personal preference how you fade and what works for different people
These videos have been such a blessing, I’ve never been confident in men’s cuts (I worked at Supercuts & was forced to only use osters 🤢) & I really never understood how to create shape, just how to robotically cut hair until I found this channel. Been working on my boyfriends hair after months of being too scared & it’s an art now not a mechanical process
@Lilttrey Selection11 I wanna day the 96? Basically the ones where u put a blade in & then the next & then the next. I’m literally just using my cosmo school wahl whatevers now lol but it’s the adjusting of the blade for me that really helps fading, not just putting on a 0A 1 1A so on so forth
I worked at Super Cuts for years and yes, only the Oster 76 was used. I began going to Hair Shows and watching barbers and stylists and buying videos on how to cut (no social media at that time). When I started implementing what I'd learned, places like Super Cuts, Great Clips and Sport Clips said I was taking 5 minutes too long for a cut; this was the difference between what they teach and unlimited growth. Having more tools (or the RIGHT tools) at your disposal, is crucial. Finally had to give in and go to a barber shop, where I could do art and not chop shop work. We all start somewhere. Stay blessed, Sis.
I used to work at supercuts as well and they forced me to buy an osters but they couldn’t force me to use it lol . It’s still gathering dust cus I kept using my whals . I’m at a barbershop now and no one even uses them.
Can you do the next cut skipping the 1 guard and just using the 1/2 and 1 1/2 like in the self cut you did a while back? Would be a fire vid !! Loving these daily uploads.✊🏽💯
@@bigecutz2268 Yessir ive been doing it as well I just want to see a different approach to it and how he would detail and see things he does differently.
Brilliant clearly explained tips thanks CB ! I’m learning so much from these vids. The coloured clipper guide on left is a great help. Cuts always well executed . Clincher is every ‘canvas ‘ is unique and hair growth often different on both sides. Thanks a million . 🙏
Great fade man. I’m new and have only been in the shop for a few months. I really like the color coded guide you put on the left of the screen. Helped me follow along for sure.
Dope cut Mann, Quick question Chris, what's the point in hitting it with the 1.5 grade if u go straight in the the 1 over it then the half, why not jus use a 1 and chip that 1 out with the half?
no he does use a 1 1/2 from babyliss , the red one , you can buy it separately and the 1 he uses is the old school 1 guard or sometimes he uses the 1 premium wahl guard
He looks like a completely different person! Nice very very nice, the way you did each side differently really helped me visualize that fading down technique
I'm definitely not a pro, but it looked a little thick above the right ear compared to the left side. Could be the lighting. I totally understand about that. I cut hair on the side on a Navy carrier. I'm just trying to get better and build up my clientele. Love watching your videos and thanks for everything bro!

Does he use the 2 guard closed or open in the video ? and I also heard fading down is faster than fading up

The Blurry Fade Down And Up Haircut Is Very Clean.
Like always coming clutch for the barber industry. This that type of hair some barbers run away from.
Oh this is a returning client right? He was one with difficult textured hair
Can dude get a yes or no loll just a ❤

Great video Chris 🔥🔥🔥 I appreciate you doing both fading down and up techniques 🙏
Are these custom guards, I'm just trying to find out what you are using on the Babyliss for a 1.5 mm guard?

Uploaded while I was searching you up ..... NICE
Super clean bro keep up the good work 👍❤️
Yo bossio love the videos!! Be dope if you could make a video where you start your first guideline with the clippers instead of trimmers
how long did this cut take? i’m intrigued by the amount of detail work you did
What guards are you using? The #1 and #1.5 don't look like the Wahl ones
YERRRRRRRR ON THIS ASAP
What do u record and edit with? What would u recommend for a new barber to start with
Clean brother. Do I see a bit of Regal Gentleman clipper rover comb method at the start? 😁🔥🔥
Like usual chirs bossio killed it
Good work Brother!!
Where's this shop @? I need a PROFESSIONAL barber
Another Blurry Fade. How to be consistent on every haircut. I want to learn more. Tnx
Bossio with the retro wahl 1 guard
My man looks Just like Hideo Kojima on the thumbnail, if you know you know 🤣🤣
This hair texture is blurry 🔥 one of the hair textures that really needs attention to detail.
kinda reminds me of schorem where they draft with only clipper over comb. Nice work bro!
Damn that’s clean af
Tombsquadddd!
It seems like your 1 and 1 1/2 is slightly different than the wahl and babyliss clips. Is the 11/2 a speedo guard?

Any tips on what clippers I should get I’m a beginner barber
Wahl magic clips .!

Nice job bro ❤
FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yup looked like a difficult texture , then with the marks on one side of his cheek. Blurry fade
U said second part would be fading up, but then you went from number 1 down to half guard ...isn't that fading down...I'm confused 🤔 hah?!
dope cut cuz
Love your videos
This is what my hair looks like rn 🤔 i was thinking of getting a different fade but nvm, video made me realize i actually do like my hair 🤣
You made clipper over comb sir chris 💪🏻💯👌
Looks good💪🏾
Why not use guard 3 to debulk or 4??
Haters gonna always say something negative about the cut, funny cus they don’t even fade as close to this work, great transition bossio
What ring light do you use Chris?
Chris cut hideo kojima? Crazy
That’s 🔥🔥
Anyone got their tips and tricks for down fading?
Maybe it's just me but have a feeling you got motivated by those asian stars (rudiantoki ore something)

What's the name of the track at 12:36 where can I get that?
