At first, I was a little offended by the idea of this. "Music Adaptation!"; I was expecting some trashy techno-beat or pig slaughter screamer. Needless to say, to my absolute surprise, this is inspiring. I prefer the old one without the piano, it's more intimate and pure. The poem doesn't need any 'scary-halloween' sounds, the way you recited it there is just perfect to me. I have to do this poem as a speech for a competition soon, and I was trying to find videos that were both accurate in the wording and had presentation enough to help me remember. I have a feeling this will help a lot, although a few words were different from the copy of the poem I have, so hopefully I can figure those out and work around it. Great job on the song, it is wonderful.

awesome work, man! I know a lot of people have already said this but your voice sounds like Jack Skellington :). If you are interested in making another musical adaption I suggest The Reaper and the Flowers, its a bit of a slower poem but I think it could make a good musical adaption.
