Not only this works on traditional grip, it also works on match grip as well, and the way you diddle faster is by the drop and catch technique, which means that you let the stick bounce twice, and this allows us to go faster in paradiddle, double stroke roll, and drag rudiments, drag is a rudiment that is LLR RRL, drag is also used on the rudiment called ratamacue.
How do you get the sticks bounce with you speed up without making mistakes cuz I've ALWAYS struggled with that even playing it with my hands on a table.
Man... Not what I've come to expect from a scotty. At all. The style is still a total mystery to me, and contrary to most everything I learned, technique wise, but man... that was awesome. 👍👍
@@provenmusic3449 I marched snare, in a different life; those days are 20 years behind me, but I lived and breathed it, for years. Never got a chance to do drum corps, which gutted my drum instructor and band director, but... there you have it. hah After I got too old, I figured I might join a pipe band, as I was already a part of the American Scottish community. I went to an APB practice, and a snare player spent the whole time with me, showing me the style. My downstroking and Scottish technique just didn't get along, and... I abandoned the idea. Anyway... Sorry about the epistle, brother. And I maintain that you are representing Scottish drumming in the very best of ways. 👍👍
Some clean paradiddles. For a simple rudiments on paper, it’s actually very hard to master, play well, and play fast
Way better than your other vedio🤘
And yet the other one is blowing up...🤷🏻♂️
@@provenmusic3449 okay ! Awaiting with gasto

Really nice man. I like drum too. You're a metronome man. Greetings from Milan 🇮🇹 Italy.👋👍

Really good, I’ve never seen someone play traditional with only their thumb on top

What’s your background? The Scottish style is definitely unique. Super technical and super relaxed and swingy. I love it so much
