I love the unique shape of the bowl and the color is very rich. Nicely turned. Thanks for sharing.

I think I agree that it looks more like Chestnut but, whichever, it's gorgeous wood! I enjoyed watching you in the design process. In the end, the piece looks great with your design and finish! Great table tops, too. Really cool video to watch, Kimsey, keep'em coming!

    Good evening, Kimsey.
This is a very beautiful bowl. I enjoyed watching the process. Nice touches with the texturing and glaze. Then you set it on a matching table, wowzer. 💯

Really cool looking bowl Kimsey. And it really looked great on the table. While you were showing it I saw a perfect bell in there.
    Take care,
    Gary

Thanks Gary! I’ll have to take another look and see if I can see that bell,
Thanks for sharing that I love to see things in the grain patterns, a few years ago we did a counter top that had a dog head in the grain and the bad thing we didn’t notice it at first and that side faced the wall the way we had put it together, was a L shaped counter top.

Great work Kimsey. I think sanding off the burn line was the right choice!

The bowl looks lovey on its own but when it's put on the table top the two go perfectly together.
    Great video Kimsey.
    Take care.

Great to see you Kimsey - I think you did it just right - you went with your instincts and your design heart with matching the top and the bottom. Lovely piece of Oak and people often dismiss Oak as a little plain but this is really beautiful. I have a big piece of old Oak beam from a Victorian building that was demolished. Its really cracked though but I think the cracks will look good - think I'll try an emerging bowl similar to this one. Anyway I always look forward to your videos and hope life is treating you well!

Howdy Paully, Thanks I appreciate that 😊😎
That is a interesting piece ya got there, a good memorial piece, That’s the best stuff to turn, I had a few pieces of an old court house built way back that someone gave me sometime back , I think I have a piece or 2 left from it I didn’t turn, maybe I’ll get those out and do something with those sometime or another, Happy turning and be extra careful with those cracks,
All the best to ya Take care🤝
