@@EsdHuncho if the company supply them then you dont need to buy them. Most important is get an insole. Like gel insole for standing on your feet all day. Get a boot 1 size up bigger than what you wear. Oh and bring pain reliever.
@@EsdHuncho Yes, make sure things fit correctly before work. Not every company supplies boots. And, just so you know the more the company supplies you the less pay is... You figure everything into those things.
Most companies require you to get to seattle Washington then they will pay the flights from seattle to alaska. You can also ask your recruiter if they can fly you from home if you dont have any money.
Terrible... you hardly mentioned materials, synthetic blends, marino wools, and seal skin are important. Each item is made of different material, so I'd suggest mentioning the options. Not double layering cotton socks, as cotton doesn't wick moisture. You are very unprepared for Alaska. Three sets of work clothes are what are recommended not a weeks worth! You make three days last a week. LMAO, how much room do you think we have? We are packing for months in a single duffle bag. Use vacuum sealed bags with a hand pump to fit everything. I even brought my own foul weather gear, sleeping bag, and boots in my bag, because of vacuum sealing.
@@333Flash Which company are you going to? Some boats is crewshare. You can make more money if the boat catches a lot of fish. If no fish then less money. Now, with covid you can't really go anywhere in town on land plant.
23 contracts, and you don't know who the best is yet? I read reviews from my couch, and watched RUclips videos, and it''s clear by review who the best is... Phoenix is probably the worst they pay minimum wage hourly, plus bonus based on crew share. Plus, they say the minimum is $8.00 an hour. Alaska.gov website says to expect Alaska minimum wage if you're working onshore or crew share if your working off shore which is $10.34 an hour. Seattle is $17 an hour. So, I'm not sure what PPLP thinks.
