Its weird how HGV tpt companys tolerate such wastage of man hrs & truck availability for other tasks. In any other industry, the bean counters would be crawling all over these times! I'm old school, avid reader of books, so my backlite in the cab would be a library! LOL! 1st timer have subbed. Get better matey.
Would you not do permanent container work then? How does Stobarts work with all the different sections.. Can you choose which area you like to work, Like Curtains, Fridges, Containers or once you apply for that role generally thats it?

Had a daft six years at ports spent some time hanging about watching films in the cab 😂 one day I started at 4am left at 11pm it was my last shift of the week and I was not sleeping out bit of paperwork fiddling but i got paid 18 hours 😂
What I don’t get is when drivers say it’s annoying when they have to wait??? WHAT ELSE HAD THE DRIVER GOT PLANNED?? It like a goal keeper complaining his not has a shot to save!!!!!
I don’t believe they do. I’d stay clear of them to be fair. Go on HGV driver jobs group on facebook. And ask about this for your area. Something will be available 👍🏻
