    Best overview of the subject I have seen. Well done! I used this as a preclass assignment for a soil water lecture in a college introductory soils class, and I can skate through the lecture because this video is an excellent overview.

    This is really great info, could I suggest that you read a little bit slower please, only because it is hard to take in all that amazing info at that speed 👍

      press the gear icon near the bootom right of the video, then there is an option called playback speed, if you press 0,75 it will play slower. Hope that helps

    My God yes it's all true. Well of course science should be.
    I love that perching term, and landscapers are guilty of it most times. We deal with compacted clay soils here in urban Chicago.
    But developers always Hall away what took prairie and glaciers thousands of years to produce. Then replace it with aggregate and rocks topped off with 2 or 3 in of black small particle ground up dirt.
    No wonder trees produce so many surface Roots here in the city.
