When I was a kid, my mother always told me I was allergic to alcohol so I thought I’d try to call her “bluff” and got absolutely smashed on my 18th. Ended up in the ER and almost died, so she wasn’t bluffing
Kelly, is that you?! I knew a smart arse who did exact same thing and yep, genuinely allergic to something in alcohol and now can't even use alcohol based hand sanitiser and household cleaners because she breaks out in hives!
My dad told me that if I took up smoking he would kill me before the cigarettes would.
It worked.
I told my son trick or treating is illegal in Australia because I really didn't want to walk around the street with him knocking on rando's doors for lollies.
I told my cousins that it was physically impossible to stay quiet for longer than 10 minutes. At the ten months minute mark they yelled WE DID IT and I said oh wait I meant 15 minutes. This went on for an hour

I’m a compulsive liar:
1) the Easter Bunny couldn’t visit our house the night before because there was a tornado warning , but he’d come the next day. And that was why there’s an Easter Sunday, and an Easter Monday (when I was sick and ex-hubby wouldn’t hide the Easter goodies)
2) the Tooth Fairy couldn’t find their pillow because their room was so messy and she didn’t want to get hurt in the dark (I admittedly slept thru my alarm to get up and sneak some money under their pillow)
3) when asked why the Tooth Fairy takes teeth, I said she cleans them and makes dentures for old people out of them (was pretty impressed with myself for coming up with that one on the spot when they asked me)
4) when my daughter discovered a Toys R Us tag in her gift from Santa and questioned me, I said that the elves make so many toys that they give their extras to Toys R Us to sell, so they must’ve accidentally taken this from the toy store pile
5) the reason I can swear and they can’t is because it’s against the law for kids under 18 to swear and Mommy is over 18 so I’m good to go. I totally plan on giving them a birthday card on their 18th that says Happy F-in Birthday

My stepmother told me that if I would press the hazard lights button, my seat would eject and I’d go flying. I full believed her because we had a sun roof and I remember watching a James Bond movie where the seat would eject if you pressed a button, so that scared me. Also the button’s triangle and in red.
My darling late son, in grade 2 said to his teacher, My mum is invisable, teacher asked why he said cos whenever I do something wrong she knows about it, the only way she could know is her being invisable. I did not disagree
My mum used that lying and tongue changing colour trick when I was little all the time. We deadset always believed her!!!

I tell my 6 year old son that if he doesn't listen I'll turn his ears down and then i mute the tv so it's all quiet and i pretend to talk so he thinks he can't hear anymore, until he says "ok mum I'm sorry I'll listen now" and then i turn his ears back up lol.
Keep the videos coming of what parents do to their kids, it will give me ideas to try on my son!
Some of these stories are so sassy lol i was at shops outside waiting for someone once, there was this crow that was vocal so i said hi (dont ask why) and it made a sound back, as it did, this toddler with their parent yells out "wow. That lady can talk to crows!"

I know this is two years ago, but…
I told my daughters that if they didn’t do their homework as soon as they came home, (they were watching tv instead) that I would cut the cord off of the tv. One day when they were at school I took the back off of the tv and hid the cord inside. They were devastated when they got home. I had a great month!

My Mum used to take me and my sisters past an old abandoned house, which she told us was an orphanage run by a woman named Dora. Whenever we were bad she'd threaten to send us to Dora's house.
My parents told my younger sister the hazard light button in the car was a self distruct button and the car would explode if she miss behaved. She is 10 and still believes that this will happen

When I was a kid my mom told us we couldn't have a cat because she was allergic. I knew she was lying because we would go to my grammas and she had 2 of them and my mom was fine. So to test the theory we found a kitten on the street and had hidden for two weeks she had no idea until my brother snitched. She made us give it away after that and claimed that she knew something was up because she had a hard time breathing for those two weeks
my mum did the EXACT same thing with Big Dog. She would shut all the curtains so that it was dark and then say "Big Dog's on and it's night time so it's time for bed!"
Took my grands to a museum, we were admiring an African fertility statue...to keep the kids from getting too close I told them they would get pregnant if they accidentally touched it
My adult children, their parents, weren't too pleased, but the kids stayed far away from all the exhibits
I think this video proves that parenting requires a hell of a lot of patience and great acting skills. (Otherwise the laughter will give you away.) But it is all for nought if you haven't got a fabulous imagination. 😂😂😂

i told my daughter her tongue turned green when she lied and if she lied 2 times, it would fall off. worked for a few years she would start talking with her hands in her mouth when she lied.
The alcohol trick works, I've done that to my Son multiple times with chocolate and drinks I put in the fridge. He doesn't go anywhere near them.

My son had a bit of a reaction to peanut butter as a toddler...I wasn't game enough to ever give him peanuts again(not sure if he is allergic but not worth the risk) as a result anything I didn't want him to eat I told him it had peanuts and he couldn't eat it. To this day (he is 23) he still asks me if things have peanuts...And I get all the chocolate I can eat!! Oh and before I get nasty comments I buy him other things he likes...

My sister told her kids Brussel sprouts are fairy lettuce. They are now 10 and have worked out they are sprouts.
My mum used to have 'alcohol' cookies that we weren't allowed to eat. I realised years later they were weed cookies 😂😂
I tell my 6 yr old if he play with his doddle it will fall off. Carrots will make him see in the dark. If he doesn't eat his veges that he will not grow up. I've told my kid so many lies. I so have try some of this ones see if they work. I have have two kids but the other one is too young but I'm gunna keep this in mind for him lol.
I told my 5 year old step daughter my dad who looks like Santa Claus was Santa Claus and all I have to say is "I am gonna call my dad." to her and she screams "Dont call Santa! I'll be good!."
I also told my 3 year old that if she lies her nose turns red. It doesn't stop her lying but she gives it away by sprinting to the bathroom to check in the mirror.
When my kids were old enough to be left home alone I told them that there were tiny cameras all over the house and I’d know if they were doing stuff they shouldn’t..... they were always looking for the cameras.....
The biggest lie I was told by my parents was that if I do year 12 and go to uni I will make a lot more money.

My son was asthmatic when he was little and I told him he could never ever smoke a cigarette or anything, and that because of his asthma, he will die.
You know how people say to kids that if animals wag their tails. Leave them alone as they are angry? Well not my cats, both my old boy (whose since died, old age, illness etc) and younger girl wag their tails when NOT being patted/petted! And my best friends kids come in from another room to where we were in the kitchen and said "you lied, the cats wag their tails whsn were not patting them!" Lol
My parents told me chili was pizza soup. Loved it for many years until one day they slipped up and called it chili. I had a melt down and refused to eat dinner. Fyi. I hated pizza. Lol. Until Jr high.

I actually WAS allergic to cigarette smoke when I was a kid. I was 3 and my grandpa and dad smoked inside (the 90's) and I had to go to the hospital and get tubes down my throat. 11 years later and I picked up smoking lol by 21 I was smoking 2 packs a day I believe. Newports nonetheless. still smoke and the only times I quit or even bothered to try quitting was when I was pregnant. im down to a pack a day lol if I was ever allergic to gluten, id still eat bread. if I was allergic to meat id probably still eat meat. NOTHING CAN KEEP ME FROM DOING WHAT I WANT 😂
When I was a kid my dad told me that the lights on the truck were Christmas lights, wasn't till mum met my step dad ( who is a truck driver) that I learnt dad was a big fat lier lol

My mum told me if I eat watermelon seeds that watermelons would grow in my stomach. Also if I didn’t let her remove a splinter that spiders would get in to finger or if I hang my arms out the car window that the police would drive past and chop them off

I have my kids convinced they get a green spot on their forehead if they are lying that only adults can see. Works a treat. If they are lying they cover their foreheads so we can’t see the spot! 😂
My mum lied to me as a kid and told me that the crust on bread makes Ur hair curly ... I naturally had curly hair and hated it so the lie back fired and I them became the kid who would refuse to eat her crust beacuse I didn't want my hair to be curly 🤣🤣

I told my son that all schools have hidden microphones and CCTV...he now thinks that the dept of education is where you apply for the footage if they are misbehaving or not being respectful lol. We have no issues with telling the truth now. He doesn't want to be "known by the department" hahaha
