Thank you, that was great! I think subconsciously, I compare my game and my swing too much to my friends', which is completely unrealistic. I don't think us higher handicappers understand the journey of time that it takes for lower handicaps to get to their handicap. My son is so envious of the Pros we watch on TV, however, I tell him that you are just seeing a "snapshot" of them now, not seeing the years of work and playing that they had to put in, in order to get to this moment. Thanks again, and Cheers!
I have cerebral palsy and have a high handicap, (does that give me 2 handicaps? 😂🤔) I can have a few great holes and score boggy or double, and I'm content with that. Then I have a melt down and score a couple of 8s. 😢. How can I stop the melt downs? If I could stick with 5/6 , I'd be so happy! Thanks.
That's all great advice - especially about how to treat bad shots. I have actually started laughing out loud when I make bad shots. It doesn't necessarily help with that particular shot but it definitely helps prevent compounding the mistake by making a terrible second shot because I'm angry or disappointed with myself.
Great advice, enjoy the journey. That's the fun part of golf, we shouldn't put so much pressure on ourselves to get better that we forget just to enjoy golf
@@upbeatgolfer it was a greensomes/foursomes format so possibly me putting too much pressure on myself to play well for my partner and also too many swing thoughts over the ball
@@upbeatgolfer played plenty of casual rounds and even came 9th in my clubs solo medal. have another foursomes this coming sunday so I'm definitely gonna re-watch this video to get mentally prepped!
Not yet, but I've played the other courses there (Spyglass and Spanish Bay). I made a deal with a great friend of mine that we'd play Pebble together, and then he unexpectedly moved to Ireland. 😅 So I'll wait till he's back or until I get impatient!

Love that! Same here re: laughing! It also keeps me loose and prevents the dreaded Vortex of Doom! 😃

Love that! Well said, thank you!
wish this was uploaded earlier, played my first competition yesterday and totally choked numerous shots in front of my playing partners 🤦♂️😅
Yikes! No worries, your next one will be better! What do you think was the issue that caused the choking?

Yikes sorry for the late follow up. Have you played any more since? And/or updated your strategy?

Love it! How did it go?
I’m nice and easy with my practice swing , but then tense up and swing like the tin man for my shot, help?
That is a great question. I made a video about it! ruclips.net/video/0R_uCF5OKSs/видео.html
Lmk if it helps! 😃
Is that a panorama of Pebble Beach on the wall?
Yup! Pretty nice backdrop 🙂
@@upbeatgolfer, I’m envious (but happy for you). Quick question, since it seems like you live on the west coast, have you played Pebble?

@@upbeatgolfer, that’s a really cool promise. I’m sure that it will be worth the wait.
