    Why wouldnt you just tape the fabric at the top to hold it in place and then roll the starch directly on the wall..lay the fabric and then do another coat over it and smooth it out then trim with a razor. Seems easier than dunking fabric in glue and attempting to get it on the wall with no wrinkles

    Any tips for types of fabric on a bathroom wall? Also, what was the material of your lower wall (white), and you said it was a bathroom, right?

      +Cherry Chan My fabric wall has held up really well - so far! I have it in our half bath - so no shower or bath to add moisture. I've had lots of readers tell me that their fabric walls have held up for years. To see my blog post (and all the readers' comments) go here: sincerelysarad.com/starched-fabric-wall/

      I did my walls in a rental home over 17 years ago. I just picked a corner off and pulled it off. It was very easy to remove. It stayed on my bathroom wall over 3 years . By the way, I used twin sized sheets.

    Hi, can you just roll the starch on the wall instead of the fabric? Thanks!

    • @SincerelySaraD
      @SincerelySaraD  9 лет назад +4

      +Happy Slant I don't think rolling starch of the wall would be enough. The fabric needs to be pretty wet with starch in order for it to stick to the wall. I often roll the wall with starch AND roll (or soak) the fabric with starch. Hope this helps!

    • @SincerelySaraD
      @SincerelySaraD  9 лет назад +1

      +arikahc23 You just grab a corner and pull the piece away from the wall, and it doesn't leave a sticky residue!
