nah, the best Williams' frankencar was the one used during sponsor event in Poland in 2019 - not even Williams at-the-time livery, and not even Williams car... but the Lotus E20!
it wasn't even stricte a Williams event - it just an petrol company Orlen event, Verva Street Racing. There were many cars from Dakar, drifting, karting, rallycross etc. Williams announced that they will be missed (for comparison - Red Bull in 2012 was here), so Orlen lend car from Lotus instead - probably cheapest and easiest option. On a separate note, it's great to see someone who isn't from Europe or North America talking about F1 on RUclips - keep it up!
omg i love how can you differentiate f1 cars by their actual names, because i know i could tell apart the 2018 Mercedes from the 2019 one in a heartbeat but when you throw in w09 and w10 im completely lost lmao

3:31 If im not wrong, when the brought back Schumi, they make him make test on an GP2 for test his ability back from retirement. They make him do test on an Inferior car and then, on the first day of pre-season testing he finally drove the W1.
The 2008 McLaren test mule will always be a personal favourite. It had the 2009 spec wings on it but still had the sleek curves of the early 2000s era F1 cars
love how you are knowing about difference of W11 and W12, that means I am not the only creep on F1 cars also the W11 is still there they have just have it a top secret base because of IP, and one may or not being going to someone in Saudi for 9 Figueres and may or may not be the Silverstone chassis raced a single race on three wheels. Mercedes has never used the W11 after 2020 for it's legacy and they have chassis flying over the receptions in the factory either in Engine part of Brackley.
the examples i never understood is when the actual body/aero package is a mish mash of different seasons or when a car has body panels that were never used in any season
3:39 pretty sure thats a Dallara T08 Formula Renault 3.5 car that raced between 2008-2011, could also be the T12 but assuming its T08 due to the livery
Now that you mention it that could have been what they initially called the RP20 during launch and then appeared in Barcelona with a pink W10 which actually should have made it in this list... oh well
every time i see those videos of people saying they bought "F1 cars" they always look horrible with it just being a mash of different parts and the current livery, and no engine obviously.
I think the Renault one is an old F3 Car, minus the camera on the side (them old Volkswagen/Mercedes engined ones that they now use in Euroformula Open) or it's what used to be a Formula Renault 2.0
11:57 that’s acc the 2018 toro Rossi. You can tell from the onboard. The steering wheel is the old one they used before them and red bull shared. I think the onboard is on a vCarb RUclips video now
the renault is a R27 without all the aero part and with fake front and rear wing Redbull use RB8 some times, like at Istanbul with a Alpha Tauri livery on it and did the same with a RB Livery on it this year at 6:59 it's a RB13 (2017) without the bardge board and with a fake front wing is there a way to contact you, i can sand you the worst frankencars
Okay so most of the cars have simplified aero when on display. The cars are not reused. The boy thinks the W11 were turned into the W12. No the W11 exists still to this day new chassis were made for the w 12. They dont keep the same parts year on year this is the pinnacle of motorsports.
Right next thing. F1 teams repaint cars they use be that for private test or whatever in the current livery. Sponsors wouldnt be happy as why would a sponser want to see a car being ran with old sponsors where the public may see it. Also why would teams want to give coverage to people no longer paying them. The livery design is the teams identity. So if the identity changes so do all the cars that may be ran in public
The rules change year on year so the cars being used for unseason testing change to allow the cars to be acurate to for you drivers testing. Also F1 teams make alot more parts than just what they run during race weekends. They make new all the time and someone never leave the factory as they dont work or are not better.
Her is Max Verstappen driving the RB8 at Zandvoort in 2015 in a Toro Rosso Livery against Jos Verstappen in a Minardi which also seems to be a frankencar ruclips.net/video/_abLofpbl98/видео.html
Current F1 cars that are racing, are frankencars too. They change parts on every race, if they crash, they rebuild the car instead of just ordering a new one from factory.
No offence to this guy. But he could do with a bit more research in classing what is a Frankencar. Paint schemes for demos don't count as it's purely for marketing and sponsors. The Dubai Mall Mercedes is not a real chassis. It's a replica of the 2017 with updates and paint scheme to look like a 2021. All the demo cars are real just at least 2 years old. The last Mercedes is a 2006 Honda with some of its sidepod parts taken off. So sort of a frankencar.
