We are all ONE with Orbit Culture. This was a magical day out in Orbit with Tank! A true friend!
Love ya, buddy!
I was at the show in Michigan but we didn't get to meet you guys. I extend the same gratitude when you come back 🤟
See ya in Italy with Inflames... hell ya.
can't wait to see you guys on december 6th!
Would love for y'all to come to Atlantic City NJ or play in the eagles stadium in Philly
the way Niklas came running up to tank was so fucking wholesome!
It was adorable
First thing you hear from inaudible swedish is obviously Jävla. They seem like really chill dudes, as expected.
I didn't even need to know Swedish to actually understand what it meant just by how it was used. 😂
I saw Orbit Culture in Sacramento at Aftershock…totally by accident. I was walking by with my wife, heard them playing and my wife said “you wanna go down there, don’t you?” Fuck yes, I do! And proceeded to get down in the pit. Those guys absolutely crushed it! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
😲😂
What a nice thing you did. To treat them like family. So cool.
Orbit Culture really needs more recognition. I'm a bit saddened that they still didn't blew up as they deserve to. One of the more interesting recent bands (yeah, formed in 2013 seems recent in the metal community which prefers "dinosaur" bands ;)
Nah, they just need a bigger label with the power behind them. It’s that simple.
They’re going to have to make the decision to move forward or stay with Seek & Strike and “wait” for them to grow enough to make things happen.
ALL their previous releases should already be getting repackaged and rereleased all over the world in bundles and cool merch. Their label has done shit to promote them and you can get any of their AMAZING music on the site. Just Nija and Shaman. I mean, wtf is that?
It’s so disappointing because they deserve WAY more and they need it to get people’s attention and drive people to their videos and buying music.
It makes me sad. I mean, it’s not like I don’t get it, but they need a label like Napalm or something.
People say, oh it takes time. Friggin hell, they’ve already put tons of music out. They have a strong view count. They would sky rocket with the right label in my opinion.
@@asleepbydawn137 you’re probably right. This is my favorite “new” metal band and they deserve way more recognition than they have.
100%
They seem like such genuine, fun people. When they come back to the states next time I’m making sure I get tickets if they are anywhere close to Atlanta. Also, that clip of Ingrid watching Spaceman was the fuckin best lol.
MY TAKE:
Orbit Culture is the incarnation of NEXT LEVEL MUSICIANSHIP.
I hail from 1969 and as a musician, guitar player I have seen decades of changes and thousands of new bands and genre after genre evolve into present day.
Orbit Culture has a formula that is beautifully complex, percussive, theatrical, HUGE story telling as if every single track was created for a movie soundtrack. The vocals would make James Hetfield grin for sure! The power behind the vocals is different in that, they are inflective and not mush, they are skull crushing and tear through the universe and yet heart warming. Brilliant!
The guitars are rad af, percussive, creative, staccato, melodic and meaningful. Not a note too much or too less. Perfect!
Bass is HUGE and it’s such a pleasure to ‘feel’ the bass driving through the tunes and at time the bass is incredibly amplified which again, is a delight!
The drums. The drums… there is a beautiful balance of driving beats that keep the listener movin’ and the added intricacies of speed and triplets are incredible. There is a huge level of creativity here! LOVE IT!
The production is incredible. Absolutely brilliant and enormous. Nothing was left on the table and it clearly shows in each track. UNREAL!
Overall, I feel Orbit Culture is my new favorite band of ALL genres.
I encourage everyone to listen to Orbit Culture’s Next Level Melodic Death Metal as it is pure LIFE for many a listener.
#1
Have you listened to avatar? They have the best guitarists in modern metal imo. They have such depth and variety in their solos and riffs it’s insane.
That was a blast, thanks Tank and Orbit Culture! Already looking forward to the "A Day With Sabaton" video.
Really good format you found there Tank, keep 'em coming.
Difficult to do everything yourself? Yeah, I kind of had a hunch you would say that. Would perhaps Claire be interested to jump in as your Videographer? Guessing it's some 15-18 years waiting time until Ingrid can do it.
Cheers / B.
Edit: Also really nice of you and Claire to invite the band to your home. I assume that the "Being in a home" is one thing you miss a lot during Tours. It's Hotels or the Tour Bus and always on the move, so to get a little bit - even just a few hours - of that "Home" feeling is probably worth a lot for the band. / B.
Yup. I totally understand what it's like on the road, so I just wanted to give em a little bit of home cooking and time to do laundry. Haha
Actually, this felt like part meetup, part documentary of a Band's daily life in the "up and coming" stage.
Really shows how much work these guys put in when they're still opening in smaller venues.
No roadies, No guitar techs, they have to do their own setups. It's looks like a real grind.
Really hoping the OC guys can get to headlining level sooner than later.
Thank you for taking care of our guys man! And you got a lovely home. I can imagine Richard felt right at home with the dog haha. After seeing you and Ben in the context of OC over the years, I'm so fucking happy you all get to meet each other and hang out. This is so cool! Skål på er, grabbar!
Som svensk så vill jag bara tacka dig, herr Tank, för att du hjälpte detta grymma band! 10/10, kommer att titta på denna video flera gånger!
Time for Tank to do some translations. 😉
Så kan han lige tage dansk i samme omgang \m/
Tack min vän. Skål!
@@DjImpossibility Hiver meg på og foreslår norsk også \m/
I agree
Herr Tank haha, benhårt namn :)
What a cool video. I love this format. You are so humble and have just the right amount of respect. The world would be a better place with more people like you, Tank. Greetings to Claire and awesome Ingrid
”Where are we, Tank?” Swedish band goes missing in the States.
Stoked to see these guys in Stockholm w/ In Flames, At the Gates and Imminence, december 16.
14:14 huge respect to you man. As a former member of a band and a gig enthusiast ,you know as friends of bands. You need to give them personal space especially Just before the shows
i like you. heavy metal fan, hockey fan. the two best things on the planet
They got Ned Flanders on the crew
There's no denying that there is something different and special about this band. Such genuine guys. And Tank what great hospitality bringing them in your home.im sure it felt great for them considering their thousands of miles from home. Loved the video.
Mannnn. I got to see them in Chicago! Me and my girlfriend literally got to spend the rest of the night with them after their set. I cannot wait to see and hang out with them all again. Such good guys!
Just saw them this past Sunday (August 4th) in St. Louis. Amazing show. They've quickly become one of my favorite bands.
I commented before seeing that ending. That hospitality was special. Love the metal community
And to think just a short time ago you discovered these guys by suggestion and now they're friends chillin at your house having a BBQ. How cool is this!!! Awesome video! Awesome band!! Awesome channel!!!
I just like it when bands that I enjoy end up being decent humans. Thanks for this.
House of Blues Chicago is my favorite venue too. Best night ever seeing Orbit Culture there! 🤘🏻
hell yeah, the guy at 21:19 is my spirit animal. I want everyone to have half of that man's enthousiasm during concerts.
I got to meet them after their set in Wichita on Thursday. Super nice guys and very welcoming. Got a photo worh each of them and now I have a signed Nija album. The 2hr drive from Oklahoma City on a week night was totally worth it. Absolute beauties.
Great day, man!
Thank you for doing this for our boys! ❤️
That's so freaking cool that you finally got to meet and see them live! I still remember the first reaction video you did with the same reaction I had when first listening to them. And now you're having BBQ with them. Still trying to catch them here in Germany, probably in December when they're on tour with In Flames. Looking forward to it
Making BBQ for one of my favourite bands, at my place? That would be a dream, man. Great video!
It look so funny when the Orbit Culture guys just played in ur office like kids at 34:19. Love the vlog
I had the pleasure of meeting the band when they played in Lincoln, Nebraska and i can vouch that they are coolest band i have ever met, really down to earth, felt like i was hanging out with some of my friends! I have met quite a few bands over the years and this dates back to the 80's but Orbit Culture are humble, appreciative and good people!
I'm so appreciative that you took the time to do this and so glad for you for the opportunity to do it. The camera work is totally fine, the content was amazing! Not only did you welcome the guys into your home but you invited us too, that's freaking great! I hope you get more opportunities like this in the future.
Tank, this was incredible. I saw Orbit Culture open for At the Gates and In Flames a few weeks ago in Ludwigsburg, Germany. They turned me into a fan instantly. Was great to see the behind the scenes from the U.S.
Awe Ingrid looks JUST like daddy ❤
This was a really cool watch!
You have literally just lived my dream, with any band that is as fucking badass as them I would give anything to hang out, have dinner, maybe talk about music and rock out. I hope to one day do that with a band as good as them
Awesome! I went to their show in Lawrence, Kansas on the 28th, and I even got some pics with Niklas, Richard and Fredrik after the show. They're really nice people and make awesome music :)
This is gonna be awesome & they all seem like really nice guys and down to earth AF🤘🏿🔥🖤
Met them in NJ. Awesome band and performance. Was so glad I got to see their first usa tour 🤘🏼
That footage instantly brought it all back to me, watching the truck coming to the venue, walking the open floor, instantly gave me that buzz you get no matter how many shows you have worked, big or small.
I knew they would have huge sound and they blew the roof off that place, nothing worse than a chunky band being lost in a venue (I once watched gojira outdoors and it just wasn’t the same)
I felt the guitar tech in you die seeing that guitar on the deck.
Guys seemed to be cool A F too, would be a pleasure to work with them
Tank, you talk about Orbit Culture all the time, and from that I thought they are really big, but that venue kinda surprised me. Maybe because all I have ever seen were concerts of Nightwish and Sabaton with thousands of people and crazy ass production. Even the fact they don´t have their own sound tech - like wow. And seeing the audience there - is it profitable for them to tour like this? Does it even cover the expenses?
BTW, absolutely loving, LOVING this content. This is gold. Thanks for taking time to film all this.
Great video, Tank. The guys seemed so relaxed at being in your home. You are friends with a band that will go on to become metal titans
This reminds me of the days when I tagged with all of my friends on their tours. Grew up with many great musicians and we always had the best of times. I play guitar (Not for any band), but since I spent so much time on the road with everyone, I got the opportunity to write riffs for quite a few bands ( Molotov Solution, Veil Of Maya, Born of Osiris, Dead To Fall, and a few others). Back in 2008-2010 was such a fun time with all of those guys. Now days I have kids and settled down, but those were definitely great times and met so many great people.
I just seen Orbit Culture in Toronto for the first time. I totally love this band. Thanks for sharing.
🤘💀🤘❤🇨🇦
How damn cool is it you had OC in your damn house🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼
I really like this band. I also turned my 10 year old son on to them and now they are his pregame jam for his hickey games and practices. Lol
You lucky bastard. I met them in St. Luis. Coolest dudes ever.
Two things:
1) Great video, I love the idea of doing more of these. Real unique perspective.
2) I’m 100% here for Tank’s Food Reviews. Make it happen.
Just got to see these guys on Lawrence, KS with Vended, Fit for an Autopsy, and In Flames. What a great show!
Man that was awesome Tank. Glad you had so much fun with OC. Bunch of righteous dudes.
I'm a bit upset that I see these guys played Milwaukee last September before I knew they existed!!! I would have loved to see that show!
That was a great tour, except for one thing. Couldn't get a tour shirt from these guys because my card doesn't have a chip on it. I was bummed but so glad I took plenty of videos.
Can't wait for the new Orbit Culture album in early 2023 and the European tour in november/december with In Flames, At The Gates and Imminence
This video is insanely awesome. Flew from Honduras to the States for a short vacations with the family just to realize In Flames and OC were playing Boston. Awesome show. Got to meet guys briefly. Best part of being a fan is meeting your Band and finding out theyre awesome as their music.
Saw them in Lincoln last night and they killed it, great show. Even played A Sailor's Tale! Thanks for putting this together.
This is the weird thing about us Swedes.. We might be socially awkward towards people we don't know.. But when we get past that first weird shit we are so frikkin huggy and nice. ;p
This is so true
I was at the New York show, and I'll be attending the upcoming show in Philly. I love everything about Orbit Culture!
Man, get a venue full of folks doing that dance during Strangler would be sight
That's super awesome! 🤘🏽 I was grateful to catch them in Louisville at Louder Than Life 🎉 and what a f*cken show that was! Legit tears of joy when they opened with North Star of Nija and closing with Redfog (my favorite) 💕
Definitely looking forward to a proper headliner show in LA on Tueaday! 🔥
I'm seeing them in LA too!
That’s where I saw them too. I was holed up to get up front for Meshuggah at the stage beside theirs and they lured me right over. They were fucking amazing. Made a lot of new fans that day.
That was 100% pure awesomeness. Can't wait to see them live hopefully ever once...
I met them in Boise, early May. They're so nice
This is the video that introduced me to Orbit Culture. After seeing this, I went to a show (Slaughter the Martour) just for them, they were the only band I saw, and I met them all when they came to their merch table during Machine Head's set. Nicest guys. Their tour manager, Ben, (who was doing merch when I saw them) is also completely awesome. Thanks for introducing me to these amazing people who make really, really good music. 🤘
News about the bands equipment.
From Facebook.
We are incredibly excited to announce that Fredrik is now part of the Dingwall Guitars roster! Founded in 1987, Dingwall Guitars was born with a simple philosophy: Build the best, most versatile instruments on the planet.
“The Dingwall NG3 is such a reliable, comfortable, and great-looking instrument that I can always count on. When I first picked it up, I knew this was the one. I love playing this instrument.” - Fredrik Lennartsson
Thanks,
Orbit Culture
I'm so happy after watching this. Thank you.
Tank, that was fucking AWESOME, thanks for filming this! They're so chill and nice, just the coolest dudes! Was happy I got to see em in Toronto not long ago and they KILLED it. Unreal show!
This is so cool. I got to meet them after they ripped a hole in Chicago House of Blues. Easily one of the best concert experiences of my life. I hope when they come back to the states it's a full headline tour. 🤘 Warmed my heart that they all mentioned Chi being their favorite city so far. And you ain't wrong about the bazillion stairs. 😆
Texas has done a lot of great things for America and Buc-ees is definitely one of them.
This takes me back to the days of being a live sound engineer, working with the bands, and often hanging out with the traveling bands after the show, taking them to the local rock club, I miss those days, but having a family and health reasons ended that lifestyle.
I love this vlog. I found out about Orbit Culture because of your channel Tank. I've been digging them ever since. Heh, as I write this I have them playing in the background. Keep bringing the awesome content. Can't wait to see The Sabaton video, would be cool if you could catch up with Epica too, those guys are amazing. I've met them a few times as well. Great bunch.
This was so awesome thanks Tank and Orbit Culture
I found these guys through your channel earlier this week. The "All metal labels will be gunning for this band" video. All I can say is THANK YOU!! Since I watched that video, I have done nothing but listen to these guys! They are just fucking amazing! Thanks brotato. And keep doing your thang!
Its going to be awsome seeing them play this winter with At The Gates and In Flames!
This was awesome. Second best thing about it.... the hat. Go Sox!
It’s amazing to see my favorite foreign band enjoying good food in my home state
I saw them in Ft. Wayne on this tour. Ever since then I’ve been a huge fan. That’s where I discovered them.
Saw them in Milwaukee. Hope Orbit Culture comes back around as a headliner soon. Five songs wasn’t enough!
Loved every second of it ...
algorithms are insane, i watch your videos regularly. but bought orbit culture tickets last night, and suddenly get recommended this video.
Seeing them in May OMG SO STOKED TO SEE THEM!!!!!!!!
Orbit Culture forever man ❤️🤘🏻. So glad I saw them at blue ridge rock festival
Did they really do "corn!" Lol. Love them even more now.
I laughed out loud at that 😂
Love the video. May it be many more. MANY more I say
Sitting for hours and hours in the car, going through the initial set up (Whether you're working it yourself or just there for it), having a decent meal before the gig, sweating your ass off during the gig, then that after gig pack down. The several hours on the road afterwards, the food you get during that time period will ALWAYS hit different. It's a comfort to the soul, and it's amazing.
Great job on this video, Tank! Thanks for taking us along for the ride. It's heart warming to see someone so excited and having fun with something that many of us dream about. You rock dude! \m/
First time hearing thier music was this tour. Came out for In Flames and enjoyed all the bands.
that was really cool. More bands should do this..
So Lucky. I seen them for only one song at Blue Ridge. Next time I want the whole freaking show! That was fun Tank! thanks!
Seeing Meshuggah, The Halo Effect, Orbit Culture and Scar Symmetry in late April at the same venue, sooo effin stoked.👹🤘
@TankTheTech Thanks so much for sharing this with us! You are so lucky to be able to hang out with the guys! I felt so lucky to be able to meet them in Chicago! Next time they come to Minneapolis, I hope they know that my house is their house too! We make some pretty gnarly chicken, pepper and onion shish kebabs on the grill! But alas, I have a better shot starting a band and working my way to going on tour with them!
p.s. I don't care what anyone says, your daughter is beautiful, the rageface will go away with time! (I have 2 girls myself, 4 and 6, they are my Bluey and Bingo!)
Also forgot they're ending this tour at Aftershock in Sacramento....so happy for them to get on the set for that one! They're going to kill it at that show. I'm from CA and my family still lives there and my understanding is most people enjoy the smaller print bands at Aftershock so I'm excited for them to gain more fans. Not everyone sits on youtube like the rest of us lol
Nicest dudes in the world, I met them on that tour before the show in Lawrence KS and I literally cannot say anything better about them, my friend was telling Nicklas how they’re getting more popular in America and he was genuinely like “wait really?” 😂. Seriously awesome dudes.
That Was Soooo Awsome!!! Very Cool Guys! I Met A Couple Of Them, When They Opened For Avatar, In Omaha Nebraska On April 28th 2023. First Stop On US Tour Of Dance Devil Dance Tour. It Was Such An Awsome Show, Beginning To End, Thank You Orbit Culture For Gracing My Small Town With Your Presence!!! Please Come Back!❤❤❤😊
I hope you understand just how much you are helping to make these guys on their way to MEGA stars,,, absolutely love it..
I saw them in St Louis earlier this week, they were sick, tho I think FFAA stole the show that night, but I am biased, ffaa is the reason I went to the show, love those guys, fucked my knees up in the pit, totally worth it
Sorry, but I can't unsee Tuomas Holopainen in Niklas's face...
Thank you, Frosty, are you satisfied???
I've met these guys after their show in Brussels/Belgium where they were playing with mighty At The Gates and In Flames. In between the bands i went to get some beers and a tshirs, and there they were. Cool as you like. Super nice and friendly. The whole band just hanging out with fans and taking pictures by their merch stand. They were kind enough to sing my tshirst and chug some beers with me. The music is eve better when you know, there's nice and friendly people behind that project. So... all hail Orbit Culture!
they are so adorable 😭😭
Felt the atmosphere. It was like being with all of you. Thanks.😊🤘
This was awesome to watch..you Lucky son of gun.. just to get to hang out with these guys..we're here we're one we're Orbit 😊🤟🤟🤟
Thank you for this video, mate. Loved it. OC lads seem really cool and nice. Amazing talents too.
Hoping to see them in Vienna in December with In Flames. Fav 2 bands.
Can’t wait to watch through this. Saw them out at Louder Than Life and they crushed it!!
I was up in the front row and the bridge in either Strangler or Carvings hit my chest like a truck
what a dream come true to have Orbit Culture at home :P
