THE SKULL COWBOY is a fundamental part of the story from the graphic novel; he is the guide who sends the crow & gives Eric advice along his journey which is why there is tape wrapped around him- Because he meddled with the affairs of the living; his powers were weakened & he became mortal. He regains his powers on the rooftop scene with Top Dollar he realises that he was in charge of the raid rape & murder of Shelley & Eric so Eric takes all the pain that Shelley endured & that’s how he defeats him The deal is vengeance against those who were involved specifically with his & Shelleys Deaths & he would get reunited with Shelley which is why he collapses by her grave & sees her before she passed away- Lance Anderson did the amazing animatronic make up & full costume of the Skull Cowboy; it’s such a shame that it was cut as it would have made more sense of the story & I know that Brandon was so excited about the scenes with The Skull Cowboy- all of this info comes from authorities who worked on the movie & my dearest friend rescued the Skull Cowboy from the prop store UK & Lance lovingly restored it for him- I actually have an EXACT copy of Shelley’s engagement ring that I had made for myself & I wear it on my wedding finger as I lost the love of my life in a tragic car accident- many years after reading the Novel I remember the 1st time I saw it & the credits rolled & it was dedicated to Brandon & Eliza I broke down sobbing as I was in my early teens in the 90s - I still have my original VHS and the special Edition Double DVD; the Score the soundtrack & a collection of figures of Brandon as The Crow🖤🥀as well as rare artwork - I know almost every line of dialogue word for word it’s my favourite movie of alltime & will forever be heartbroken at the tragic loss of Brandon Lee; but forever inspired by his attitude towards life, his vivacity for life & his wild spirit x I also have all his other movies too- he is & always will be THE ONE & ONLY ERIC DRAVEN & The Crow🫶🏼
