- On the streets of Inglewood, only one name rang louder than the constant din of the jets overhead, Tako. Not a rapper nor an athlete, his exploits were infamous, sparking admiration and fear amongst gangs, citizens and police alike. But infamy begets prosecution.
Now from 150 miles south, across the Mexican border, Tako watches his son Rucci build his own legacy, using nothing more than his voice and lyrical ability to garner the same respect he once had. And now Rucci's primed to be the next artist to rise from LA’s recent rap renaissance. This is the story of Tako’s Son.

So much Respect. Got emotional when Rucci hugs his dad. I was raised in Inglewood, TaKo was my neighbor & I remember him at Rogers park every time I would walk home from Crozier Middle School.
This is very beautiful . It really did touch my soul. I’ve heard of his music before, I actually really like his music, so when I saw this on my suggestion, I was interested in finding out about Rucci. I’m half Salvadoran & grew up in LA . This made me proud . I pray his success gets bigger throughout time !!

I grew up in Inglewood. As a kid in the 1980’s moving from Jamaica to Inglewood is part of me. Nuff love and respect for Inglewood. I went to Centinela Elementary, Crozier Junior High and Inglewood High School. Will always remember the intelligence of the “Gangstas” I grew up with in The Wood
