Thank you Cobbler Aaron... your skills and customer service is *fantastico* ... and my Wife loves them! See you again soon for more recrafts and repairs! 💚💛❤👊
Another great job Aaron, I am a red wing fan and love my moc toes. When I resole it, I am a little on the fence about using leather instead of cork as a filler. I like the idea of cork for a softer sole but I also like the idea of leather filler for a more resilient sole...personally, I think I would just stick with a cork filler for more comfort.
I’m glad more people are realizing this. I’ve received like 4 ugly pairs and I have pictures for proof haha. From very uneven sanded welts, to the welt stitch on one pass through only has 10 tiny threads holding it and to fix it they just burnt the ends and it slowly is coming apart
@@The81titans I think it would make for a stiffer sole and isolate your foot from debris on the ground. Might be nicer for climbing ladders and such, but with the crispy sole would give that shock absorption for walking on concrete. When my Redwings need new souls I might try this just to see how well it works out. Go Titans
Hi Aaron, how thick is that leather midsole you use……is that pretty much standard thickness cobbler use when doing Moc toes or you have to be specific with the thickness you want……I’m in the U.K. sadly can’t get my RW resoled by you☺️ One more thing….what’s the best option resole for a Beckman ….just find the old sole disintegrate or rubber get really soft or fall apart……will minilugs looks ok or Dainite…not sure if dr. Sole is available here in my area though.
No apologies needed, They’re pretty much the same, it really depends on what you do with your boots Regarding the storm welt It offers grater moisture protection than a flat or regular welt!
Wow good job! Is this more like a paying hobie our passion for you,our is this how you make your livelihood. It seems like you would need a lot of experience in order to get all the skills needed to do a job like this and it just doesn't seem like the I need for something like that isn't demand

I had a question about wedge soles. Is the weight difference between a vibram 2021 sole and a vibram christy some a big difference? Is the 2021 sole better for walking? I ask because I’m a ups driver

did those soles really need replacing? looked like a good centimetre left down the whole length
You should go to red wing and teach a class on sanding . Apparently they don’t know how ?

Im sure they know how but to them its just production get it done and thats it. This man does craftsmanship.
Looks great. What is the conditioner used on the upper after the soles were put on?
Just Cadillac leather conditioner!!✋🏻
I think replacing the cork & rubber with leather is a great idea!
Why is that what’s the deference

I use 9 /10 oz Leather midsoles some cobblers us 6/7 7/8. I’ve seen that problem on those boots .
mini Lug or Dainite will look good!
Cheers!!
are vibram Christies better than the original RW soles in your opinion?
Also what exactly is a storm welt? apologies for asking

2021 is one of the lightest and most comfortable sole, but if you’re a driver I won’t last you more than 3 months .
@@AaronG2480 oh I see .. thank you for your quick response
Why is there no midsole by default? Is this a manufacturer's savings? Or I don't understand something..
Can you explain this ?
Soles and midsoles are glued together!
It is really disappointing Red Wings do not carry all American made boots.... Lately their inventory is 85 % Chinese made.
😤 Sadly Yes..!
Trying to learn Spanish from watching all these vids. Haces elecante trabajo, amigo.
