Wowzers! What a neat video. Those Fleur Woods pieces are spectacular. Your's is one of the best, IMHO. There are a couple that I would like to use as inspiration for sure. Now, as to your July mystery panels...can we ore-order them? HINT HINT! They look fabulous and we can not wait! I'm so far behind in everything from your Seasons to Roxy's; but having a blast. So that's the important thing. Susanne's retreat is going to be so much fun - so wish I could join you all. Can you say "jealous"? Just abit! LOL
Thank you Corrine for your video and the sneak peak. This is exciting and most helpful as a bit of guidance for those of us a bit new to this, training wheels for me always welcome. I have just bought a French General panel and I am having a long look and considering my options. I also found a kilo of fabric scraps on ebay at a nominal price ( brill when you have no stash) and this weekend I am tea dyeing some of the brighter pieces. Oo tiny quilts gorgeous. This is so much fun,after 48 years as a nurse and midwife and for 30+ teaching at a Uni here in the UK I have retired. I am filling my days with craft while we are still in winter and having on line coffee with my ex colleagues. I think I am beginning to enjoy this. It's early days but I am enjoying no stress and having a daily stitch. See you at your table soon.
Welcome to our world! I'm a retired RN too. It's a great way to connect w other like-minded people & expand your horizons as much as you wish. Corrine is a wonderful guide as well as ENABELER Supreme! Beware! LOL
I can see you had some inspiration come into your beach piece from your Fleur Woods course. While not as dense (sand dunes aren’t a dense feel project) but you did a good job so far with the fencing area and incoming tide. That’s my assessment and I do enjoy how you are evolving into a variety of areas for your arty side!!! Gives me lots of fun ideas for my work! Thanks. ❤-N
Rick & Maria of Zentangle fame suggested in class that we name our art pieces by asking them them what their name is; taking the first phrase that comes to mind, without out judgement or editing. Although, once in a while, I do find that as I'm writing the phrase on my piece, it changes a bit. For a recent piece the name that came to me was - "There's Always a Path Forward." I always love the names that comes to me for all my creations whether in cloth or ink. Give it a try and see if you come to love the process as much as I do.

@tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine I don't know how you get so much done! You should give a course on just that! 😄
@lisamoseley9914 lol..
What did Fleurs ladies have to do? Did they embroider over floral fabric or is it all free form? They are all so lovely in their own right.
Embroidery over fabric designs., firstly then many headed off on their own journey of discovery!
