Thanks for the video. I ordered the item 30 minutes ago and regret not finding your video sooner. The vertical drop and the inability to lock the slider are significant issues. Had I known this earlier, I might have reconsidered the purchase. Now that I’m aware, I’ll need to find a workaround or make sure to remember this at all times. Thanks again for the video.

Thank you for watching and I’m glad that it helped! I will say that, although it does have some of those issues I am extremely happy with the slider for the price. Well, those are definitely pain points, once you get used to them they don’t get in the way of your filming as long as you stay aware of them so I think you can still be happy with it once it arrives. I’d love to hear your thoughts once you get it!

@@freakytechreviews Thank a lot for your reply.Have you tried to move the camera manually to select A and B points faster instead of waiting for the slider to move? Do you think that this will put too much pressure on the motors?
This is something else that might be problematic when setting up shots.

Hey man, I found the Accsoon TOPRIG S40 and S60 Motorized DSLR Camera Video Tracking Slider Rail 120° on British eBay for £235 (S40) and £269 (S60), but the seller is based in China. Do you think it’s legit?
Also, from the pictures, it looks like it doesn’t come with a "tripod head" (or whatever that part is called). Can I use any head with it, or do I need a motorized head to keep the camera pointing at me when it moves left and right?

Each time you change the speed , it will have an un dampened ends , for the first run . But subsequent ending with be smooth. So not ideal to ramp the speed during a shot.

Question is.... how it would perform for timelapses?

One of it's strong points! I realized after making this video that I focused most of it on how I use it for product shots. But the parallax rail also reveres so that instead of your camera focusing on a fixed point, it moves in a subtle arc, facing away from center. That, with how incredible slow this slider can move, make it perferct for timelapse shots.

@@freakytechreviews that's actually really nice, thanks so much answering. We're doing tons of astrophotography timelapses and we wanted to buy something portable but capable. We normally pack close to 30kgs, and we go up to 3100mts... So, yeah.
I think we're going to actually buy it and test it a bit.
Again, thanks for the answer man.

Interesting. Most budget sliders are not steady
