Sorry silly question, but what is a scheme in teacher training?

A scheme is essentially your plan for your bigger picture of learning. I have created a video on planning schemes, which might help you further :)

Hi your videos are really helpful. I have a question I've been accepted onto a primary pgce starting coming sept. Actually I'm very nervous. I want to understand if someone does really bad in placements and is failing to improve what actually happens in the end? I know some people fail their pgce. Do you have to pass each placement to pass overall? How is it assessed? Can you please answer this or make a video on this side. Thanks so much.

My experience from this, is that the mentors and universities want you to succeed and will put steps in place to support you. Like any course, there are people who drop out, however this is mostly based from realising perhaps the profession is not for them.

Hi your video is really helpful I’m set to start my primary pgce in September I’m just wondering how quickly did you start teaching and was you nervous at all ? I feel very nervous

      MissOliviaStarxx Hi,
You slowly work your way up to teaching, at the beginning it’s more supporting and then you will slowly be given classes. Absolutely, it’s fine to feel nervous - I did, but don’t be afraid to be yourself (obviously your professional version of yourself) haha! I found with time I got more comfortable.
