Those pelicans at the pier collect taxes from the fishermen, why dive and fish in the ocean when it is easier to dive to the humans before the fish hits their cooler. I’m glad you enjoyed the tranquility of the Hatteras. Shhhhhh! …….don’t tell anyone that the Hatteras beaches are uncrowded, unspoiled, let’s keep that a secret and that riding the ferry is cheap to no cost at all. Ditto on the mosquitoes as big as dragonflies. Did you slide down on the sand dune at Jockey’s Ridge?.Did you enjoy the beach at night when the ghost crabs are at play?
