was all the music made just for the tape or were some of the background music actual songs?

The credits state the soundtrack was produced in Hot Springs, AR which was also the home office of SRO/PACE at the time. Based on that, it makes me think that the music was composed specifically for the video. In addition, none of the tracks have shown up on a CR claim from the large production music companies.

Supposedly he's a very talented guitarist in real life, he was just told by the producers to fake his way through it because they weren't going to use all the footage they filmed.
