The strategy it's good, but to do it successfully you must have a weapon capable to resist the shots and deliver the most of the damage, something that 2020 Hypershock's spinner can't do. Something that they really fixed in 2021.
@@d.p.8945 The show runners need "characters" and among those they need antagonists-bad guys. Jake here as well as Ray Billings (Tombstone, Mortician, et;al) are usually cast as this. Both are super nice guys and supportive not just of fellow Battlebots teams, but the sport as a whole.

Why was the referee even counting out Hypershock? Was he giving him a chance, to activate some secret hidden turbines, to fly himself back in the Arena? But serious, great fight.
This is one of the very few bots in existence that is built for performance, battlebots and robot wars would be so much more fun if all bots would be built for performance, but most are just clowns building joke-bots that are useless. Carbide is another extreme performance build, such amazing machine. i also like the old good Chaos 2, Razer, Hypnodisc and Tornado from robot wars. i'd like to include TombStone in this list, but unfortunetely tombstone is very fragile, it has lot of power in weapon, but when it fails to break the other bot in first few seconds, then it will usually break down itself.

The screws on the wall should have way more torque they stop spinning when the bot hits it, instead they should totally chew it up. Lol.
then change the meta to pushing bots and let the screws do the talking :D
