    Thanks for posting this video. I’m a saxophonist that has been playing for over 40 years, mostly in Phoenix. The band gigs and Sax+Tracks solo gigs have been slowly drying up over the last few years. But since the Vid ended I am now getting a lot of requests to play with DJs. I hate the “music” but I am diving in just to try and fill my schedule.

      Sax& tracks gigs drying yup? I was just going to try that! I can't DJ&sax, I'm an old White guy, nobody cares. They just want young women for this and I hate club music.

      Go for it. Might be a whole new playing chapter. Sorry to hear the gigs either tracks are slowing down in your area.

      @@McGillMusicSaxSchoolthanks…the main problem is the bread hasn’t changed much in 30 years…you gotta adapt to survive!

      DJ + Sax isn't only EDM music. I do this at other events where all kinds of pop and even older music is played. You may find the music more fun once you get to play on top of it and make it your own.

    Been playing alongside djs as my main gig for a couple.of years now.
    It can be good fun. Especially when the crowd is really jumping

    Great question about sourcing the material Nigel - one of the biggest issues is finding the DJ dance versions of popular tunes. Not sure if there's a particular site that sells them.

      If you are playing a gig where you need to provide those tracks then the easiest thing to do is setup a Spotify playlist. There are tons of dance music playlists out there where you can source tracks you want to use depending on the vibe you want to create.

    in alto sax, if we press which keys together with the octave key, the octave crook key does not go up?

      I asked this question a lot, but you did not answer. Please reply if possible.

      @@Istanbul661 it does A and above, otherwise the body octave keys lifts (which is triggered by the G key)

      @Istanbul661 27 дней назад

      @@SaxSpy It means that if we press any key other than the G key together with the octave key, the octave crook key will go up and only G will close it ?
      Sorry, I'm from another country and I don't fully understand

      @@Istanbul661 correct. hold the octave key and press g to see what happens

      Hi. If you have the octave key pressed (left thumb) plus fingers 1,2+3 of left hand, the neck octave key will be down.
      Lift your third finger and the neck octave key should go up. Hope that helps.
