I had my 3301 with 700 hours go crazy when it regenerated 3 times. Knocked and smoked until I could get it to stop running. Rpm went wild almost like injection pump broke.
I just bought a 2019 with 260 hrs and no backhoe just loader and a grapple I haven't tried yet but DAMN!!! I feel like I got a workhorse for sure! I've worked a 3130 and it's a tough little tractor and my Ford 5610 was a beast! Thanks for your video!
Sure Glad to see a review that wasn't about " my 50hour twac-ter" how to take the loader off, or an oil change. Your "Rig" was well implemented and "REALLY" USED with a high degree of PRODUCTIVELY. Good thing you got your tractor "PRE-C-v-d". My 2017 "kubogy"TLB Mx5200 at 900hrs has worked flawlessly. It's gear drive shuttle shift with backhoe & loader. Those stumps are quite impressive ( have done the same many times)--- ALL with no breakage --- just a lot of "strategic " nibbling. Almost purchased a L 3901 with loader & backhoe but " upgraded" two levels for 30% More money for nearly Twice the Capacitys. With the Bigger rig it is sometimes TOO BIG. With the "1970's" Stearing linkages & the lack of amplifying bucket-linkage bar assembly's the "L series" was off the table for me. Your choice of tractors was a good choice . The "regen procedures " is a little challenging but it makes a Tractor Super quiet, and it makes it a "fuel-sipper" with the computer controlled coordinated electronic common-rail direct injection. Thanks for the great Vidio Sir and happy safe tractoring.
You don't need zip ties for the backhoe pins. There are holes just below the ones you are using that the pins slide into. When you use those holes the pins angle downward and gravity keeps them from sliding out. The holes are not visible, but they are there.
Really!!?? I hope there are!! I never noticed them , I'll go look today, just the other day those pins sliding down & i thought to myself I really need to fix this
My L3301 now has about 560 hours on it. I am a retired aircraft mechanic and my experience with this amazes me as being the worst engineered piece of equipment I've seen. If the thing works it's OK, if it needs work it's a nightmare. It seems nothing was thought out when they designed it. I've mainly had hydraulic problems but now trying to fix a miss in the engine. Just try and find the injectors. Think about what you would have to do to get at them if you could see them.. No one thought of maintenance when designing it.

Good thinking using the Cavalier to catch any of the logs that try to roll down the hill. :D

I have the L2501 and am pleasantly surprised at how much snap that it has.
Always enjoy these reviews.

You CAN cut down a mighty Oak with a pocket knife...... in time! Don't over load it!!
What size bucket do you have on the backhoe ?
16 inch
