I’m learning how to carve so excuse my question, but is it better to do those two pieces separate versus carving that all out on one piece? Like what are the benefits of doing so? Is it just purely for design?
the advantage is nika so some parts will be easier to carve.and also easier to smooth and polish them. . because it's handmade. . but the disadvantage must combine the parts.

I made a prong using 24k pure gold it makes it easy for me to install stones because pure gold is so soft
