Given Jiraiya said by 10 Nagato could use all 5 (which is extremely rare). Mastering every jutsu he taught him (chapter 375, p11). Usually takes years to learn even the element the user has an affinity for (c319, p9). With most jonin able to use at least two (c316, p5). Sasuke used them all in novels (Star Pupil & Sasuke Retsuden. The latter has a manga). Nagato only used one on screen (wind in training against Jiraiya). Whereas Sasuke even mixed a couple to replicate a certain Kekkei Genkai (purposefully avoiding too much spoilers).

So it's fitting he ultimately got teleporation as an ability.
Ya know the entire jigen arc could have been avoided if Sasuke just used almighty push on the rods it's not like he lost the ability he used universal pull in Shippuden

What I never understood was when did his ability get nerfed to just switching places with objects? We saw him use it 3 different ways in the war: 1. Sasuke swaps himself with other objects 2. Sasuke can teleport short distances (teloported behind Kaguya when she first emerged) 3. Sasuke can teleport other people/things to himself (teloported Madara to himself whilst doing the six paths chidori with Naruto's mangnet style: rasengan)

What's crazy is that out of all the op abilities of the rinnegan, we don't get to see many of them either way. It becomes hard to write a good story when the overpowered eyes are an ally. So sasuke had to lose his rinnegan in a dumb way.

Didn't this happen after he was impaled? It would be a smarter tactical decision to swap a weakened version of himself and perhaps keep Isshiki busy and allow someone else an opening to attack. Isshiki might break free of his loose neck grip pretty quickly, but Sasuke would be able to hold on if necessary and make it difficult for Isshiki to counter. Even fractions of a second could be the difference between victory and the end of the world, so in that instance, swapping into the grab would be smarter.

What I never understood was when did his ability get nerfed to just switching places with objects? We saw him use it 3 different ways in the war:
1. Sasuke swaps himself with other objects
2. Sasuke can teleport short distances (teloported behind Kaguya when she first emerged)
3. Sasuke can teleport other people/things to himself (teloported Madara to himself whilst doing the six paths chidori with Naruto's mangnet style: rasengan)
the writer cleary was confused then and couldn't decide what exactly the power would be,so he was teleporting everywhere

What's crazy is that out of all the op abilities of the rinnegan, we don't get to see many of them either way. It becomes hard to write a good story when the overpowered eyes are an ally. So sasuke had to lose his rinnegan in a dumb way.

@@waldoman7 there's flaws to that statement such as boroshiki moving at a considerably fast speed, sasuke being off guard and being heavily injured, and if sasuke did use susanoo it probably wouldn't even form in time and even if we do give him the benefit of the doubt that he does get it off in time sasukes low on chakra either way and after that he probably wouldn't be able to use his portal ability to get home

Didn't this happen after he was impaled? It would be a smarter tactical decision to swap a weakened version of himself and perhaps keep Isshiki busy and allow someone else an opening to attack. Isshiki might break free of his loose neck grip pretty quickly, but Sasuke would be able to hold on if necessary and make it difficult for Isshiki to counter. Even fractions of a second could be the difference between victory and the end of the world, so in that instance, swapping into the grab would be smarter.

Even jigen while absorbing chakra was vulnerable since you let your opponents move while you're absorbing. Sasuke barely was able to hold his own against isshiki and you expect him to just keep absorbing chakra and isshiki would just let him do that right?

Minato used kunai with the sign on them thre them and teleported at the logation of the kunai... funny enough sasuke could have done EXACTLY the same... throwing the kunai and teleporting at the kunai location, even better cause he didn t need the mark on something to do it he just needed to look at the specific object he wanted to swap with, the fact that there exists only a 1 minute video with him using it but there would posibly be a longer video with minato using his ability is very concerning
Sasuke’s ability had a ten meter range limit, unlike Flying Raijin. Minato could teleport anywhere no matter the distance
