Yeah Ninja Warrior requires mostly grip strength to bodyweight ratio so it's extremely hard for someone of his weight, they have to be that much stronger

The people that usually do really well on ANW go through the course fast and dont spend a lot of time on each obstacle because they are able to build momentum in just 1 or 2 swings and keep their body parallel which means less time hanging and climbing. The best example is Flex Lebreck thats why she does better than all the rock climbers who have better grip than her
Yeah, I have total faith in him and love watching him (and you) improve in so many different areas, but making sure he keeps his health is definitely a priority. Seeing the joyful pride in his face when he bested that ring obstacle was a delight to witness; I was so ecstatic when it happened and I still smile just thinking about it! I'm so happy for him!!! 😊💜💜💜 I have loved ANW as a sport since before it was brought over here to the States from Japan, so adding two of my seriously favorite RUclips athletes with ANW has been a dream come true for me! 🤗😍💗

The problem is that it's such a long swing. It's realy hard to carry your tension so long if your not sitting but hanging. It's a totally different story.
@@lambdacode1503 yup. Too much muscle is a disadvantage in these. You need to be flexible, have dexterity, and speed, all are enemies of muscle mass. Also while juji has great grip strength, he's carrying his entire body, which is far heavier than the average fit man.
@@__aceofspades tbf apart from flexibility they are not enemies of muscle mass in general. Speed is helped by big muscles in the legs and dexterity needs a good grey (?) muscle fiber development. Of course weight in general is an issue, so big muscles for the sake of strength or show are a liability here. Flexibility has issues with any kind of muscle development so you need to stretch a lot during your life, but it is a problem for out of shape people too. I was unable to touch my toes because of tight hamstrings even though (and probably because) I let years pass without working on my legs and just being active in general. Juji is 1000 times more flexible than me for example

I don't know man, it seemed like juji had zero proprioception when it came to the swinging when he was trying to increase his momentum, kicking and flailing at the wrong times in the swing.
I felt that too. I was hoping all the time that he would hold the ring sideways with both hands same grip spread out like an inverted steering wheel to maintain maximum stability so he could put all of his focus on his swing.

He pulls it straight down onto his own face at full force before starting to swing. at first i thought it was from smashing into the landing pad. imagine just braining yourself with a metal ring... that must have really rung his bell

Really interesting watching Juju and Magnus' videos back to back. Juju's clearly much stronger and it showed on some of the obstacles. But Magnus had much more control of his body on obstacles like the ring swing.
Great performance and nice camera work ^) But, hey, Juji and Tom, here's a challenge for you! Try to master element called "giant swing" on a high bar. Completing will give you keys to all kind of swings (rings, bars etc) and also great deal of fun. It is very simple, yet a bit mental. Would be nice of you to consider that as an idea all right for one of the upcoming videos :)
The show has so many different obstacles, and often at least one completely new one or variation, no single Ninja Gym can simply have all of them, no one can really predict what obstacles will be on a course, and that's to prevent people from setting up a similar course to train for it ahead of time.
Yes, changing it up this way, while still providing the same TYPE of obstacles (balance, fast feet, upper arms, core, etc.), helps even out the playing field a bit between the OG's and the newbies, while also providing a more unique viewing experience. What is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME is how many Junior Ninjas there are! Multiple course obstacles you see on the ANW courses (like the wingnuts) throughout the competitions have actually been created by ANW youth.

Really interesting watching Juju and Magnus' videos back to back. Juju's clearly much stronger and it showed on some of the obstacles. But Magnus had much more control of his body on obstacles like the ring swing.

Great performance and nice camera work ^) But, hey, Juji and Tom, here's a challenge for you! Try to master element called "giant swing" on a high bar. Completing will give you keys to all kind of swings (rings, bars etc) and also great deal of fun. It is very simple, yet a bit mental. Would be nice of you to consider that as an idea all right for one of the upcoming videos :)

The show has so many different obstacles, and often at least one completely new one or variation, no single Ninja Gym can simply have all of them, no one can really predict what obstacles will be on a course, and that's to prevent people from setting up a similar course to train for it ahead of time.
Yes, changing it up this way, while still providing the same TYPE of obstacles (balance, fast feet, upper arms, core, etc.), helps even out the playing field a bit between the OG's and the newbies, while also providing a more unique viewing experience. What is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME is how many Junior Ninjas there are! Multiple course obstacles you see on the ANW courses (like the wingnuts) throughout the competitions have actually been created by ANW youth.
