Hi! love your videos, just an advice from someone that has been through something similar, i think you should try to get some of your readings for school done during your commute instead of waiting till you get home, I know it can be very hard and sometimes impossible but you can create a system for it, because 4h lost is a lot of time "wasted", and you are putting your health at risk not sleeping 7-8h every night, now that we are young we dont see the impact right away but trust me is coming, what is the point of being exhausted to death every day when you actually wont ble able to be at your full potential, sleep is the most important thing for a human being next to eating and hydratation, you wont be at the top of the class or job if you sacrifice your health for a long period of time, and the long term effects are very bad for your brain and also it can cause mental health problem, at least for me it even cause an extreme amount of unhappiness, stress, and irritability aside from not being able to concentrate on my studies or work at 100%, wasting my real potential. Again trust me I know how hard it is to manage it and it might seem impossible but everyone can find a way :) good luck on your journey and youll be an amazing lawyer.
@@ila9063 Something I like to do is put my articles I need to read for my classes through speechify or any other text to speech app. That way she can listen without getting naseous.
Not every one can read on a moving vehicle, I get the worse motion sickness if I so much as look at my phone or read something while the car is moving.
I’m pretty much going through the same situation. But thankfully I have at 45min commute from my home to college. I tried to read and cover some stuff in my car yesterday and surprisingly I saved my self some rest when I got home. I’m getting barely 5 hours of sleep per night 4hours at night and 1hour as a nap after college mainly because I have online tutoring from (11:00pm to 12:30am) and (4:30am to 6:00am). Things are though, I am tired, I feel like collapsing and crying any moment but good things aren’t easy to acquire. I’ll have to be strong from my side in hopes to achieve my goals. The same goes for anyone experiencing the same situation:) I hope for the best for all of you
i would look into surround cities in new jersey that is close to nyc like at least an hour. 4 hour commute and having to studying until 2-3am and then waking up at 6am is going to make you burnout. I know being able to live at home is a blessing but that commute and that heavy work load and really late night and early mornings don’t seem sustainable in the long run.
Honestly when I saw your commute time in the first video I was really concerned. My commute time last year was half of that and I had a really really hard time. It’s extremely draining. If the exhaustion gets too bad and it’s possible for you to move I would advise it.
I graduated from college when you also graduated from college. (We almost have the same timeline) I started law school right away after graduating, and now I see you're also in law school! It's comforting and inspiring to know you're on the same journey as me! Thanks, Jing! All the best in law school!
Hi ! I'm a 23yo French law student who just finished my fifth year of law and now studying to become a judge here in Paris. Law is definitely hard, but so interesting to study and make you grow so much. Because of how hard it is, I think you should really re considered your schedule, especially your commute time. If you can do it now it's completely normal because it's only September and the very beginning of the year. But on a long term perspective, I don't think this can work : you can impact your life / mental health very bad, or impact your results and love for law. I think you should find a better solution to make things work better if you are able and if you want to. I simply love your videos and can't wait to follow you throughout this new academic adventure ! 🤍
I'm not even in law school (working life now) but your work ethic is so inspiring! :) Excited to see your journey and keep up the aesthetic vlogs whenever you can!
I always love the way you curate these videos. It's so inspiring, not just the academia part, but also your creative perspective as a vlogger. This video warmed my heart
Jing so glad u're back & u're sill my all-time favourite RUclipsr🥺💓thankyou for editing videos while u're already busy with school & it's as comforting to watch as always!!! Wish u the best in law school, just remember self-care is just as important as productivity, make sure u get well-rested when u have the time to unwind!! Send loads of love
Totally feel you on the long commute - I completed grad school part time while working full time with an hour commute to work, a two hour commute to class on the upper west side, and then an hour and a half commute back home (thank goodness this class was only once a week 😭). I completely understand the appeal and benefits of saying home, AND I hope you can find ways to alleviate the stress/strain by arranging occasional sleepovers with friends who are local (especially after evening/late night networking type things), find ways to make the commute restful, productive, or restorative, or whatever else would help you maintain your overall health and happiness 💖 Wishing you good rest and all the best!
You are my inspiration! Please, keep making more vlogs, we always wait for them❤ I tried to watch other channels about studying, but no one feels like your videos, so cozy and cute 💕
i love your videos so so much, literally the only thing getting me through uni freshman year, i know its tough but you're doing such a great job girl! so so proud of you, keep going you got this!!!!❤❤❤
absolutely loving your law school diaries! recently took the september LSAT and will be applying this cycle, so thanks for the motivation to keep me going with applications! keep up the great content! you're going to crush your 1L year!! 🥰✨
I don't know if i am wrong , but i have watch all your videos so many times , and it is my first time seeing you going to a hair salon ❤❤ . About the transportation i think you should rent a motorcycle and i think it could be pretty helpful . Love and respect you . DON'T GIVE UP ! I know that you are going to be the best lawyer ❤❤❤❤
wow so much kudos to you for balancing uni-life like this! i would definitely be stressed out lol. you're such an inspiration! excited to follow along your uni-journey
Hey Jing! Just wanted to let you know that youre a huge inspiration for me. I plan on applying to the UK for my undergrad as an aspiring law student, and id love to hear about your journey and tips for highschool students that want to do their undergraduate degree in the UK, and postgraduation in the US. Tips on writing the LSAT would also be really appreciated
Love watching your videos Jing! I'm also a law student and commute to uni 2-3 days a week for roughly 4 hours as well. It's definitely draining especially when you get one of those classes or seminars later in the day. But I do enjoy coming back to my place where I have my own space. I got lucky this year though cos most of my lectures are recorded and I get to watch it at home instead. Hope your schedule gets better and don't forget to take care of yourself!
wow jingl.. u inspired me.. i was near being hopeless wanting to find a place near my school bcs my commute hours is 2-3 hours everyday and i also finish studying past midnight, its draining too and keeping urself awake during the commute is as tiring as well…
I think you should consider moving, a 4 hour commute isn’t good for you in the long run, you mentioned that you’re barely getting any sleep, and that your commute takes a long time. I think it’d be easier if you lived closer to your school, I also understand why you’re conflicted on that, but it’s something you could consider. Sleep is very important for you, and if moving closer to your school could help with that, then I would suggest doing that, but ultimately it’s up to you. I’m excited to see your law school journey, I love your videos ❤
i cant explain how i love your vlogs. You are my big motivation and to be honest? i dont know were i would be if i didnt find your channel. Since i found your videos i started working hard and eventually got 2 scholarships, which isnt that easy. Im so grateful for your work. Keep going! ILY
i'm a 2L right now, so it's funny/cool to see you going through the same things i did last year. i'm sure there are tons of 2Ls at your school who are more than happy to give tips/advice, but if you ever need general law school tips on outlining, networking, etc., please let me know!
Im really glad that youre back. I just discover your channel 4 weeks ago and kinda sad because you dont have recent updates. But now, youre updating again. Much love!💗
Omg I never knew you started law school!! I'm excited to see more uni content for the fall and winter as a fellow law school student 🩷 your are so inspiring by taking the commute on urself with such hard conditions. you got this girly we all believe in you ☀ Also I can relate so hard with the books, I have to buy them next week (uni starts in October where I live) and it's about the same amount of books just for one exam 😭
The locker part is so cute lol Happy to see you back again. It must be really hard to maintain those heavy books, papers, classes...etc and youtube video (hug hug) I'll keep waiting for the update ! ! It has been my motiv in my life to work on with these video in my daily ~~ 🧸
love your law school diaries! could you do a video on how you make case briefs? I’l be starting L1 next year and want to start slowly getting some systems in place 😊
omg a new vlog~ i'm still in the law school application process but your vlogs have been so helpful in understanding what law school will be like 🥹 my dream is to attend law school in new york city, maybe someday soon haha :) i hope you are getting a bit more rest :,( i totally understand the guilt of spending rent even though you live nearby your school - but it looks like some other commenters made some good suggestions about looking for cheap(er) places to rent in new jersey 🥺 i hope you're able to cut down your commute somehow >.< nonetheless, wishing you the best for your first 1L semester, you got this 🫶
I have a cousin who never studied much,we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than studies after writing LSAT, she passed and I failed😣, I asked her how she did it, just found out she got her help from Mr Thomas ..
Hi Jing! I want to ask you one thing: what do you do for a living? How can you afford all your expenses? Also, what are the job prospects after studying at the University of Oxford? Btw love your videos ❤
Commute is hard...I myself Commute 3 hours daily. Either try doing your readings there or just relax in that time. Sip some coffee and listen to music so that you can work efficiently. Sometimes I just take a nap too
I did three hours commute and was manageble, but 4 hours was too much for me, I ended up studying long distance without attending. Going back I would move and rent with some other students.
hi! i also a law student but i have problem and i want to ask you. How to be more productive when you you have class in the morning. Thanks. Have a good time
Jing, so curious what do you get up to 4 hours on a train :/ nothing to watch on netflix , yt kinda dead to except for your videos how do you fill the time?
Sending you all my support for this new year of school, you can do it ! P.s : when I saw you reading all these books it reminded me of attorney Woo hehe, I'm glad you like this kdrama too 💖😸
hi guys! hope everyone is doing well

I’ve been there too and I totally agree with you. Great and sincere advices 😊
she might get motion sickness if reading too much in a moving vehicle. otherwise, agreed

You should consider moving to Hoboken or Jersey City bc a 4 hour commute will cause burn out quick. Rent is better there

Passing the LSAT is when you study hard,if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself help like Mr Thomas
I had interest in working with him but I was discouraged by my friends out of ignorance 😔
