Hi Maui we really appreciate you comment is making us happy and give the motivation on making more videos! Stay safe over there... we will pray for you, Italy (my country) and all the places that right now are more affected! Have a good day! :)
hello, kamias is really used a lot for cooking.. have you tried balimbing? they taste similar but without the sourness of kamias.. By the way, I also have a farm lot here in laguna. it was given to me my parents. I just dont knw what to do with it coz i grew up in manila.. I am now living alone here in the province for almost a year...any suggestion would be much appreciated thanks..
the moment i see one of these...instantly i am salivating...its amazing how just the memory of the taste of the fruit triggers a physical reaction.... when i was an adventurous kid...id eat it straight ..just dip it in salt... and as an adult idd add it to 'isdang paksiw' for the natural sourness...
Mirco, take care eating kamias ha,it will make U purupot😅😅😅kindly tell Tere, kamias is very good in sinaing na tulingan fish with matching taba ng baboy and sabaw ng sinigang!
@8:26 we also call it "kalamias" here in laguna. we also use it as a souring agent, just like sampalok (tamarind), in sinigang or paksiw. my mom even uses kalamias in cooking "sinaing na tulingan" (bullet tuna). then after braising, i like to fry the tulingan until crispy. & use the kalamias with a bit of the braising liquid as a dip to the crispy fried tulingan. yum!
Kamyas thats the fruit we love to eat and nibble with my siblings when we were young. We just dip it with lots of sugar to lessen the sourness of that fruit.
Kamias sour refreshing drink? Yummy in the tummy it’ll flushed your gut right off. ❤️ love to try it. See what happens hehehe. Thanks for sharing. And glad everyone’s having fun in the farm. You guys interesting to watch always. Because you’re having fun. It’s fun to watch you guys creating new things to drink right out of the family farm. Kudos 🫡🫡🫡 ❤️💚🧡💙🤍💜🥰
When i was a kid, we would get lots of that and dip it in salt with chili mashed into it. It's delicious. It is piaz in Ilocano, kamias in Tagalog. I do not recommend making it as a shake or smoothie though.
It's a tree sorrel in English. I am from San Jose Batangas & back my days, my Lola will dry them and save for later use in cooking fish. You can make them into candy by adding lime after drying.

We mix with milk and honey and we reduce the kamias so that it will not taste stronger and we add more liquid to it and ice. Try to mix guyabano. Experiment. Let me know if it taste is good and if the sourness is reduce. Cheers!

I also drink kamias shake for detox, I don't know, but it gives me that factor whenever I drink that.
