Thank you so much for this meditation! I have been experiencing fear of death/dying for the past year and have been struggling to find lasting relief within myself. I hope by repeating this meditation and continuing to tell myself that I am safe and that I cannot die, lasting peace will come. I am so thankful for this gift of life.

Thank you for sharing this Yoga Nidra. This is the first time I’ve come across your channel. It was a beautiful practice.
I do have a question for you. I have performed yoga nidra and other meditation practices in the past and used to find I could embrace the experience and ‘let go’. However, a couple of years ago I had some form psychic attack (or spiritual attack) and my relationship with meditation has changed.
During meditation I used to find it very easy to be visual and could go quite deep including having one outer body experience.
However, since the spiritual attack every time I meditate and the moment I feel I’m going deep and letting go.. my body physically shudders as if traumatised and scared to go to deep.
Can you shed some light on how I could try to overcome this and start fully embracing meditation again?
    Thank you 🙏🏼

I couldn't understand why I couldn't work for me. I just followed body relaxation with rotation, breathing, and visualization, but the same as other practices. I don't see any death yoga in it. Please respond

Sometimes our own expectations can get in the way.
The purpose of this meditation is simply to facilitate your own contemplation of the impermanence of the body. The body will die. Its not a matter of if but of when. If we can go through the visualization of the body dying during meditation it can be very liberating. This was the only thing needed for Ramana Maharishi to wake up. He simply meditated on his body dying and realized he is not that which dies. We can also have a similar experience of our own like this - but we must be ready.
Perhaps come back to this meditation another time, such as directly after the passing of a loved one. Then this meditation will be most powerful.
      Thank you for listening!

@Tripura Mandala : I am very grateful for the response. The dilemma I have is this: when we do relaxation of the body, breathing, etc, the body becomes transparent. I very often haveq it for almost a year now. The problem I have is that the relaxation rotation of the body and mind reinforces as the body-mind is real. I may have missed something here.

@@terefefeyssa877 The body-mind complex is real. You really experience it don't you? However there is a difference between truth and reality. The way we perceive things is reality, though it may not be true. Don't try to deny the body nor negate it by considering it 'unreal', just know it is not the true you. Real? Yes. True? No!

Soo my spirit kept leading me to practice death meditations. I was very nervous and procrastinated at first. Now that I’ve played it through a few times, I really enjoy this meditation! However I fall asleep EVERY time I do yoga nidra, even with other recordings lol. In this one I reawaken when it comes to visualizing my body full of light.
Is it possible that this is what I’m meant to focus on most? Is there any value in playing these when you’re asleep? Can yoga nidra be done sitting up?
    Thank you in advance!

    • @TantraForLife
      @TantraForLife  2 года назад +2

Falling asleep during YN is very common for beginners because this is the first time you are truly relaxing and there is so much nervous energy to be released. It is easier to handle this release of nervous energy if you are alseep. Also, we have to develop wakefulness/concentration/awareness gradually over time. Most of us do not have a concentration practice. This mental 'muscle' atrophies when we don't use it. So, over time (as your concentration improves with yoga nidra) you will notice you are able to stay awake longer.
If you are able to stay awake with this session then I would suggest you use for a while, it will help you develop concentration.
Yes, yoga nidra can be done sitting up. You don't have to lie in shavasana do to yoga nidra. In fact, it is better if you can sit in a classical meditation posture, or in a chair, or sitting with your back against a wall, because sitting up will reduce drowsiness.
      Keep practicing!

What does it mean when you come to from the meditation and you realize you've accomplished your life purpose and are extremely uncomfortable in this vehicle? I was meant to be married and have my son. When I came to, I'm divorced and estranged. I liked when I melted into nothingness and became one with the universe in the other meditation, but became upset when I returned.

Very beautiful comment. During yoga nidra we experience the truth of what we are apart from all the distracting objects of perception from the waking and dreaming states. This is the aim of yoga in general, to have an experience of that which lies beyond all mental fluctuations. That Thou Art. However, the truth of what we are in that perfect silence always is our truth. It is right here right now even. You can learn to identify that ever-present silence and bliss that you are, and gradually become more established in that permanent awareness.
To get started, ask yourself the following:
What is that ultimate level of pure subjectivity for which everything else is an object, but is never an object for itself?
Contact me if you want to study more. Otherwise, you may benefit from the teachings of nondual philosophy from such schools as Advaita Vedanta or Kashmiri Shaivism.

@@LAKSHMIANGELES An egodeath experience is what these people need the most. But suicide does not achieve that. The subtle and causal bodies do not die, only the physical body dies. The mind and psyche are part of the immortal collective consciousness. Having an egodeath experience (such as a spiritual awakening, dmt experience, powerful moment of clarity, etc) can help to realize that which you truly are.
There is no ‘escaping existence’, we eventually merge in to the totality of eternal existence as that underlying universal consciousness/Spirit that is One and the same in all.
In the silence of your own mind that perfect peace is there.
When you were enjoying the very best moments of life - try to remember how much more present and ‘in the now’ those moments allowed you to be.
That joy and happiness is also here right now in this, and every, moment. You only need to silence the egomind and unfold your awareness.
The problem is the egomind. So why kill the body? That won’t give release from the source of the suffering.
An egodeath experience provides not only the release we are all searching for. But also the ability to unite with the immortal Self, or Atman; which is experienced as the underlying bliss of eternal existence.
